Hendon Mob Database
« on: April 14, 2014, 09:09:26 AM »
I like the new feature which enables the TD software to send the results of a tournament to the Hendon Mob Database.

In TD it says to contact the Hendon Mob for an Access Key, I have contacted the Hendon Mob and thier reply states

"Thank you for your email. To gain the access key you must purchase the license from The Tournament Director itself. We ourselves do not have any access codes."

what do i need to do now? I have 2 TD licences

Cheers

Their support is confused.  Technically you don't even need a TD license to submit results (you can do it while still in the evaluation period).

Hate to pass the buck, but you should write to them and let them know you have a TD license, but you need a Hendon Mob access key in order to submit tournament results.

To be clear, I don't know how they hand out access keys ... if anyone can get one or if they only distribute them to specific venues.  That's a question for them.  But if you don't get back a satisfactory response, let me know and I'll try to get in touch with them to resolve it.

Have you had any response from the Hendon Mob people, as I am still very interested in using this feature.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, no.  I did hear back from one of them (a technical contact), be he didn't have a real answer for me.  And of course I've not heard back since.  Sorry.

On the plus side, I am working with a few other partners on similar features that are more geared for the home poker player.

That might be a plus side for some, unfortunately not for me!

I'm finding it confusing to connect to the Hendon mob site too. Would be cool if there was a tutorial on how to do it.

Honestly I thought it was pretty straightforward.  What part are you struggling with?
