Title: Thought I would Share...
Post by: lethargicdolt on March 26, 2006, 09:34:32 PM
Thought I would share my work. Just modified on of the existing templates, but it should work well. All the test runs have gone smoothly.

Looks nice!

You need to make a custom Title to complete the look.

Had one I created using photoshop. Was debating whether to use it or not. Not very fancy but functional.

Nice layout - I like the picture of the cards

One thing I did was change the text for the "next blinds" to "next blinds" instead of just "blinds"

Less confusing I think.

I saw that and changed it last night. Did not realize it said that. I also created a new banner and changed the clock and blinds color from white to yellow. Little easier to see from distance with contrast. We use the laptop as the screen so angles can make it tough to view. Kudo's to you Corey on this program for the screens. It takes a little time to learn how to manipulate, but really does provide many ways to present the information. I have also done three pre-tournament screens with rules, the table layout and posted the .html of the last game played so everyone can view as they wait for tournament to begin. The hit leader functions and the versatility of placing other information on the screen is nice. People really enjoy seeing their name on top of the hitman leader board.

Attach an ipod for music and it really gives all the information during the pre-tournament that folks want to know.

As I stated in another post, the ability to randomize bust outs by placing mulitiple sound files is more fun than actually knowing when a specific one is going to run. We put about nine sound files in the queue and when someone goes out, everyone got quiet to hear their exit sound.

Newbie here... I also liked the Rankings, etc. -- but how (specifically) do I insert them to get them displayed; where do I put this code?  Thanks!

How would I add a points column to the rankings list?

Could you share the html code for the hitmen on the left

When you edit a cell, position the cursor in the HTML where you'd like to insert (the rankings list, the hitman list, etc).  Press the Insert Token button.  There you can select which item you want to insert, and the various parameters to tailor it to your taste.

The rankings token doesn't provide an option to display points (or cash), but that could be a feature request.

I would like to see the rankings token show the total points each person has accumulated during the event. ;D

Thanks Corey - I will check that out tonight...

<u>Hit Leaders</u><br><hitleaders orient="vertical" max="3" showAll="false" showCounts="true" sortBy="count">

It's a token, all you have to do is insert it.
