Tournament formulas throughout a series of events
« on: January 21, 2008, 07:32:24 AM »
Apologies if this appears twice. I though I'd sent this a few days ago but it doesn't seem to have appeared.

Is there a recognised or standardised formula one should use for calculating points for a series of events over a long number of tournaments?

Ideally the variable would take into account things like the number of players, number of rebuys (so would deduct points) and would be proportional to the number in the field and prize pool, total umber of rebys, the round you went out in etc.

If there are any obvious things not to include please let me know. I wouldn't want to include a variable that wasn't relevant.

Thanks

John

You really need to think up your own formula...

You could do something like...

Points = Number of players - rank (so the better you do the more points) - Number of Rebuys + Number of hits
