Title: Player Avatar
Post by: benmajor on March 24, 2008, 06:07:52 PM
Hi All,
I have been using TD for quite some time now, for managing both my home games and some charity and family games. For smaller home games, I wonder whether it would be a nice touch to allow the host to add an avatar or small display picture to a player, that could be displayed on the seating chart. This could potentially be used when the player is eliminated from the game, for example a large cross appears in a modal window or overlay in the TD play window.
Not too sure how complicated this will be, but just thought for smaller games it might be an idea (since for larger Casinos and card rooms this could be a little unmanageable).
Thanks, and keep up the really great work Corey!
Ben

It's been on the to-do list for some time.  Just isn't a high priority.  I may get to it someday ........

Yes, I can appreciate that Corey; more of a novelty addition than anything else really.
Keep up the great work :)

That would be a great feature.  Some tournaments hold as much as 50 players, and it's a heck of a lot easier to identify them by face than by name :-\.

At one point I actually did update the database to allow for this, but it will take a lot of work to be able to display the picture in various places in the software.  Like I said, one day.

This would be a great 'bells and whistles' addition -- right up there with customized sound for each player. ;)
