Help Me / Re: Help with alerting players to breaks
« on: November 01, 2013, 11:04:03 PM »
Sorry all. So new to creating events from scratch. The conditions formula shown in this thread are over my head.

I want my break sound to fire with 10 seconds left in level #3. Rather than showing me the formula, could you let me know what values to put into each box when you click on the "+" button (test conditions), that way I can get the gist of it and be able to use that for future events?

I'm not sure what the difference is between roundNum and level as I thought they were the same thing and I have no idea what isRound means

thanks!

Help Me / adding 3 sounds events
« on: November 13, 2010, 03:38:51 PM »
I know there is tons of help here posted but after reading 3 or 4 threads that sound like something I want to do, it all starts to look jumbled to me.
So, I'll post this and if someone is feeling generous and wants to hold my hand through it, I would be forever grateful.

I want to implement 3 sounds.

1) With 1 minute left in each level, I want to play a sound clip that I have of the song "The Final Countdown".

2) immediately when the next level begins, I have a clip from Deuce Bigelow "that's a huge b***h!" that I want to play.

3) when break time begins, I have Ozzy from the song "Sweet Leaf" coughing (dedicated to the smokers lol)

I have imported the sounds and need to know where to go from there...

I posted the sounds here if anyone is interested http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/forums/index.php?topic=2411.0

Help Me / multiple files in saves folder
« on: August 31, 2010, 11:17:46 PM »
I have had 2 games using TTD so far. I have named them satty 1 and satty 2. When I got into the saves folder, there are numerous files with names like

"satty 1.tdt.20100901-001327" and so on.  What are those and are they supposed to be there?

Help Me / starting a new tourney
« on: August 08, 2010, 03:16:21 PM »
I have a league set up. We have had one game so far. I have a blinds template saved. Now, I am trying to get things set up for game #2 but when I load the blind template I keep ending up with game #1's info (ie, who placed where etc)

How do I load up a new game with new seating?

Help Me / Re: 10 person, simple point formula required
« on: July 12, 2010, 04:09:51 PM »
On the sample tournament that comes with TD, it comes with n-r+1 (or n+r-1?) but there are some very sophisticated formulas, many of which you can find on posts in this forum.  Do you have an idea of how you'd like the points to be awarded, or how big of a gap from 1st to 2nd or something like that?

the sample is the 10, 9, 8, 7...system correct?  I would like the race to be close. It's a short, 8 game season, so I don't want some players to be completely out of the running after two games. At the same time, I don't want someone who's sitting in 8th be able to win it all if he wins the final game lol

I'll have a look throughout this forum and see if there is a formula that will fit into what I am doing.

Help Me / 10 person, simple point formula required
« on: July 11, 2010, 10:38:54 AM »
short on time, here it is....

New to TDD.

10 players playing in an 8 game league.
No, re-buys, no add-ons, no bounties.
No prizes after each game. Strictly winning points

Need a simple formula for awarding and tracking the points.

New to TDD, awaiting my register code. Would love a little hand holding at the moment because the league starts tonight and I don't have a lot of time to mess around. Nice eh? lol  Step by step perhaps? :-)

Does TTD come with a formula already?
