Help Me / Seating Question
« on: February 17, 2009, 06:06:06 PM »
Hey guys this is probably a very simple thing but I cant figure it out.  For the first time I will have two tables going this Saturday.  I know the software can run two tables but how do I seat the players?  If I have 14 players and they will not know where they are sitting until they arrive Saturday night, how do I manually seat them?  What else do I need to know about running two tables versus the one table?  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.  Scott.

Help Me / Tracking the hit
« on: January 15, 2009, 01:41:18 PM »
Hey guys, quick question.  I have played one tournament using the TD software.  During the tournament I kept track of who was busted out and who busted them.  Is there a way to look at that info?  I do not have another tournament to compare it to, but I would like to award points for hits. Can i get to this info?  Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / Used the TD for the 1st time
« on: January 11, 2009, 08:50:35 AM »
I used the program last night for the first time and it worked great!  I think everyone liked it except for the slackers in the group who like to conveinently forget the blinds are supposed to go up.   I learned some things on my end that I will make adjustments for next month when we play again.  All in all the TD is awesome!  Just wanted to share that with you guys.  Thanks for all the support that has been given to me leading up to my first tournament.  Scott.

Help Me / Re: Display on TV
« on: January 09, 2009, 07:43:21 PM »
I am not sure.  My lap top is at home and the tv is at my buddies where we are having the tournament, I am at work.  i remember when I bought the lap top i hooked it to my big screen tv, but that was 4 years ago.  As far as the tv goes I am telling you exactly what he says it says on his tv.  Maybe I will wait until the morning and try to look at this again.  Thanks, you guys are always around to help.  Scott.

This may not work for me.  the tv only has the following connections:

on the front a yellow, white and red connection
on the back a yellow, white and red connection and a digital audio out orange and a video plug.

let me know what you think.  Thanks, Scott.

Help Me / Display on TV
« on: January 09, 2009, 02:15:42 PM »
Hello all, I hope everyone's holiday was good.  I have a question today I am hoping someone can help me with.  I am hosting my first tournament of the year and the first one using the TD software.  My laptop is about 4 years old and we have a tv that is 4 to 5 years old, a wide screen.  It seems to me when I bought my laptop the guy told me I could use the tv screen as a display.  Does anyone know how I can do this?  What cable would I need to make the connection?  Am I able to do this?  What is the port called on the tv that I would hook into from the computer?
I would really love to do this tomorrow, any help would be greatly appreciated.  I am gadget/technology challenged.  Thanks for the help in advance.  Scott.

Help Me / Different screens
« on: December 22, 2008, 09:08:41 AM »
This has been answered I am sure, but here it goes.  I have my tournament saved and set up for an upcoming game.  I would like to have the tournament screen setup with a background picture that I have from my pc.  When I start the tournament I would like the picture to go away and I use the default screen, or a custom screen.  Basically a screen with no picture.

So.......while we are waiting to start have a custom picture in the background.......when we start it switches to a default, or another screen I have set up.  Is this possible?  Any help is appreciated.  Scott.

Help Me / Re: No file (load/save) dialogs
« on: December 18, 2008, 03:47:54 PM »
Hey guys, not sure if I can help, but here it goes.  I downloaded the TD a week or so ago and everything was OK, but that was it, OK.  What I mean is, I thought it should be preforming better.  Then I went to save a tournament and it would not do it, the computer started acting crazy.  It has been sometime since my computer has been cleaned up professionally, so I took it to the shop.  My computer guy told me that internet explorer 7 is having some big issues and that is what was running on my computer.  He told me that he recomended me to go back to 6, and when they fix 7 we can reload  it.  He is the expert, so I went with his advice.  We did a few other things and my computer runs better now than it ever has.  The TD runs perfect, I could'nt ask for better.  I think it had everything to do with internet explorer 7, my issues have been fixed.  I hope this helps.  Scott
