Help Me / Table Images
« on: October 10, 2022, 01:08:06 PM »
I'm not looking to do anything fancy here...
On the seating chart screen, it defaults to a simple chart screen, with, in my case, tables 1 through 10 listed with the players below each table heading.  It's the table headings that I would like to change, if possible.

I would like 5 of these tables to have a black header, and 5 of these tables to have a red header.  I know how to change the names of the tables, and to change the colour of all 10 tables, but can't figure out how to change half the tables.

Is there a simple solution to this?

OK, so I took a stab at your "hack" below.  Here's what I got...

On the "Stats" page, under "Normal View", your hack works as you mentioned.

However, when I move over to "Single field view" on the same Stats page, it does not give the money total - it shows that same person as having won $0.00.  So I double click on the individuals name to get his individual statistics, and it does show an adjustment for the correct amount.  But, for whatever reason, it will not show this amount under the "Single field view".

I can add the money manually, without the automatic payout from the program.  I was just wondering how I would add the payouts to a the specific players.  But, to do it in a method that would not add another game, or would not impact the payouts from any other previous game.

I realize that it's simple to simply put a "Winnings Adjustment" to the end of a game, but that would skew the winnings for that game.

Is there a way to pay the points winners at the end of a league season?  I don't want to create another "game" or add it to a game, as this will skew the standings and statistics.

Help Me / Re: Each Players Starting Table
« on: July 21, 2021, 09:20:25 PM »
There are two ways this could work in my situation...

The first (and easiest one for me) would be to have TD store each players finish within their own table.  As mentioned, two tables of 30, and then I would just need to know where everyone finished within their table of 30.  Then I could create a points formula for the TD to keep track of each players points, based on where they finished within that table!  That would be a great start for me!

The second (and easiest one for you) would be to simply have TD store each players starting table so that, when I export the stats from the game, I can then sort through MS Excel which game each player was in based on their starting seat and where they finished within the game.

Right now, I only use TD for the clock function (along with my single player home games).  I keep track of all players and eliminations through Excel, sort, keep track of stats, points, wins, final tables, etc. all through Excel.  See www.oshawapoker.ca (not trying to promote, just trying to show you the work involved) for an insight on all the stats kept.  All sorted individually, through Excel.

So, with COVID having put a stop to our little league for over a year now, I've gone back to the topic above to try to make TD work for our league.  Right now, I'm only utilizing the clock and blinds from this program, and would love to dive into the any more features this program has to offer!  I've come up with another idea that I'm hoping TD can help with.

Is there a way for TD to keep track of a players finish based on their table?  For example, we have 60 players, broken down into two games of 30 players each.  I would then create two tables of 30 players, and would only need to know what position they finished within their table, as opposed to the game as a whole.

General Discussion / Bud Red Light

Here's an off-the-board question for ya...

Can you think of any way to connect the TD to the Budweiser Red Light?  It would be incredibly awesome to have the light flash and horn sound each time the blinds went up!

I'm not a programmer, so getting detailed with suggestions would only confuse me.

Help Me / Re: Players Screen Not Displaying Info...
« on: November 05, 2018, 07:06:10 PM »
I am a complete tool!!  I captured screen shots, and just before I was to send them to you, I noticed that I placed "OPS Member" under the "Player ID" column.  I spent multiple hours trying to figure this out.  My apologies for wasting your time.

And hey, excellent work on 3.5 - can't wait to get a working copy!

I had sent you and e-mail with the error message that I keep getting, and the fact that it takes over 50 seconds per player to add to my game.  Any thoughts?

Help Me / Players Screen Not Displaying Info...
« on: November 04, 2018, 07:16:39 PM »
I've been having a few problems recently, and I'm going to assume that the new laptop with Windows 10 is the issue.

The latest problem is as that all the player info is not showing up on the players tab.  For all players currently playing in my league, I have them listed as "OPS Member" under the notes column.  However, there are a few players that are in my league, their "bio" says OPS Member in the notes.  But, when added to the tournament, nothing is appearing in the notes column.

I do need to know how many "league" members player in specific tournaments for scoring and points.  I normally just sort using the notes column, as it's easy and simple.  But, with it not showing everyone correctly, I've missed a bunch of points, and must now work back to figure out everyone who's been missed.

Any ideas on why this is now happening?

THANX
JARROD

Help Me / Rotate Player Image
« on: June 15, 2018, 10:24:04 AM »
Is there a way to rotate the player images?  TD is rotating EVERY player image that I upload 90 degrees counter-clockwise.  How can I fix this?

Help Me / Re: Open Face Chinese Poker
« on: May 10, 2018, 06:47:29 PM »
Basically, here's what I'm asking for...

I need a screen that would show the following list during the first round of the "blinds"...
1 - 5
2 - 10
3 - 15
4 - 20
.
.
.
19 - 95
20 - 100

This list would then change every time the "blinds" go up.

Help Me / Open Face Chinese Poker
« on: May 04, 2018, 06:04:07 PM »
G'day, Corey - me again!!

I have a very simple template for my layout - nothing fancy, just a plain white screen that shows only the basics.  Our group plays a lot of Open Face Chinese Poker, and I would like to show the "points' or "chips won" on the screen.  Basically, I would need a layout that stays exactly the same, with the exception of a screen in the bottom right corner that would "change" as the blinds increase.

For example, for Round 1 of the blinds, the screen would read...
1 - 5
2 - 10
3 - 15
4 - 20
.
.
.
19 - 95
20 - 100

Round 2 of the blinds would show
1 - 10
2 - 20
3 - 30
4 - 40
.
.
.
19 - 190
20 - 200

The numbers look simple in the early blinds, and could easily be done without this screen.  But, in the later blinds, players have difficulty figuring out 18 points at 125 chips per point, and this screen would save a lot of headaches.

Currently, I use the "Payouts", and after each blind, I manually change the payout to the correct one (I have each "Payout Template" saved).

I hope this makes some kind of sense to you!?!  And I hope there is a method in this wonderful program somewhere that could help me out.  Once again, I thank you in advance.

The problem with the "human readable log" is that, even after the data is exported, I will still have to manually enter each players table to determine which game they are playing.

While adding this would certainly benefit myself and a few others, I have seen numerous posts asking about Shootout tournaments (which I also run), and this would be a definite plus to run and track those type of events.

I hope to this this in a future TD going forward.  I thank you again for the quick response!!

I've seen a couple of other posts asking similar questions.  If the data is there, why not include this into the program?
