Title: My Poker table using amcq10 layout
Post by: arthurbear on September 25, 2010, 08:42:38 AM
Hi To All

This is my poker table using amcq10 layout design  ( thanks aload ) slighty modified to my specs,Using pictures of my own chips and changing the look and logo using photoshop. As per amcq10 table,he used an LCD monitor,Only downside with that was you got bad screen burn making it not visable from a few seats ( i would say at least four out of ten )..So I opted for a trusty old crt..A bugger to mount but does the job well with a visable screen no matter what seat is taken.......Thanks again to amcq10 for his layout and inspiration.

Hi

I have been using the layout of amcq10 for a while now and love the setup,I have seen people commenting on the scrolling text marquee,As I didnt design this layout and wouldnt really no where to start would anyone be able to assist in adding a scrolling marquee to the bottom of each side showing what position players are in my little 10 man league. Thanks

You're going to want to use the marquee html code. (just add < and > to the ends of marquee). There's going to be more that you need to do to get it set up properly, but I would have to get back to you as I'm unable to load up the tournaments to see for you right now - not at the right computer.

Until Magic gets back----------If you look in the clock cell at the top, down at the bottom is HTML Styles click it and youll see how he's got it, after you make a New cell, called stats or what ever then add this to your cell styles  the top cell should be the only 1 you need to do this to the sides are rotate 90'    and the <marquee>is in front of Stats or what you called it, kind of like  <marquee>Prizes           Ive tried this for about an hour and i couldnt get the right side to flip i used the hitleader token with the <marquee> it scrolled but didnt flip to look like the right side clock and blinds, but the bottom, left side, and top, turnout alright

So sorry for the delay, just couldn't remember everything. I actually got some help on this myself, both from here as well as googling 'html codes'. for whatever reason, using just the <marquee> produced a box that was tall enough, but was about 1/2" wide (Thus the reason I did a search).  Here's what I came up with:

<marquee loop="-1" width=800 scrollamount=15>ENTER YOUR TEXT HERE THAT YOU WANT DISPLAYED.</marquee>

loop="-1" means it will be continuous. Width=800 means it's 800 pixels wide.

Email sent, but you might have to redo your pic alittle, or your fonts size, and the marquee ended up not being the issue it was  the flippen that toke a minute to figure out

If you do a screen shot and post it on here, I might be able to provide some insight on it too... Have you tried to load other layouts?

Layouts were changed in 2.6, so yes, if you save a layout using 2.6, only version 2.6 (or later, when we get there) will open it.

Thats what i was thinking TIMMER..Looking at your pic of the layout its exactly what I wanted and would have never in a million years done that myself.lol .......  As on my setup I have all my chips scanned in and etc was thinking of just trying to add the four marquees by copying what you did on this layout, that way I will be able to keep my setup in tack with a few little amendments here and there.....Will see how I go  ;D ;) ???  Thanks again TIMMER  ;D

Hi TIMMER...How do I " default to odd round & even round that seemed to work " ?? Not sure where or how to do this?

When I load the layout all I see if the top blinds/clock and marquee,Nothing else, If I drag the L-Hitleaders and R-hitleaders into the tool bar all the text appears on the screen and only thing missing is the left and right marquee,so guessing my prob is with these two??

Thanks

Cell Properties.....Property Set..... New..(odd)(even) then click (hide cell default)    I deleted my layout cause I'd never use it but I'll go back and get, on L & R take out everything but the word (hitleader) and no width see what happens I'll get back to you     Alright I'll send it check your email.... i named it the same.(AllSides) so change the name before you save it you dont need two with the same name   This is a 1280 x 800

Hi TIMMER

On going probs still,Changing to horizontal....Still no Joy....The filter used to rotate the marquee is "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.BasicImage(rotation=2)" which on the net points to active x and java...I asked our IT manager at work about could it be windows xp pro...he says no as its explorer html based and will be something i need to install or update via explorer, when I showed him the filter code he told me to download the newest upto date Directx and that should work............I will try when I get home.LOL

FYI, the HTML style filters (for example, "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.BasicImage(rotation=2)") are a Microsoft extension to HTML.  They have been a part of Internet Explorer since version 4.0.  They do not require any Active-X controls or any other type of add-on (definitely not Java) - they are directly a part of Internet Explorer.  They should work on any version of Windows.

If you find them not working (which I have seen), it isn't because they don't work on a particular version of Windows.  Rather it would indicate a problem with that actual installation of Windows, of Internet Explorer, or both.
