point allocation formula
« on: January 10, 2009, 11:16:24 AM »
Currently I am using a very easy formula for points, n-r+1.  I would like to assign points to only the players that made the money, and one point to the player that was on the bubble. We pay out anywhere from 3 to 5 spots. If we where paying out 4 spots I would like the points to be as follows... 5 for 1st, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, 2 for 4th, 1 for 5th(the bubble) We play every month, and throw out the two worst finishes for each player at the end of the year, is there any way to make TD do that?
Thanks in advance,

yes, TD can do both things, but it different areas.  You will use game tab for specific tourney and stats tab (overall score) for throwing out the bottom scores and calculating league score.

it helps to know how you determine how many people are in the money for a given tourney.

For your Points for Playing formula:

max(0, inTheMoneyRank - r + 2)
