buy in players using barcode on membership card, also use it to for rebuys, addons. would this be possible?

You could store the barcode number in the ID field of players in your database.  Turn on "Find" the find feature (on the preferences) and use the scanned barcode to look players up for adding to the tournament, buying-in, rebuying, etc.
