ID field
« on: April 13, 2008, 12:31:07 PM »
I export my results to my website via csv.  I currently use the nickname field in TD to contain the database key value for the corresponding player on my website.  I see that you added an ID field which I can use for this purpose.  However, I need the same ID field for hitmen as well.  Is it possible to add a hitman ID to the export column list?

The nickname works for me now since it follows the hitman column in parenthesis.  I would like to change this since I have many players asking what the number in the parenthesis indicates on the player results page. ;-)

Possibly, in a future version.  I'll put something on the to-do list.

Where are you exporting?  From the Players tab, Game tab, or Stats tab?

Thanks Corey.  I am exporting from the players tab.

Corey, I am resurrecting this thread just to see if it was ever on the todo list.  This would go nicely with the macro I plan on writing to export the players for realtime updates to my website.  I would hate to have my macro change the name format then change it back so my nickname field is exported but not displayed during the course of the tourney.  I would rather export the player ID and hitman ID if possible since that is the ID field's intended use. :)

That is AWESOME news.  What can I do to move it up on the list?  ;D

It's likely to be in the next release.  There's not much you can do to push the release forward - there's just a lot of work to be done.  But, when I release it to beta testing, please do join in (just watch the Beta Testing forum), and if you don't see that feature, remind me.

"When it's done."

No, I would be making complete guesses if I said anything at this point.
