Hello there,

I'd like to use the "print receipts" function of TTD, but everytime i buy someone in, the print-dialogue pops up, and i have to click "OK" - Is there a way to circumvent this dialogue? (Like the quick-print option in word or openoffice)

Thanks a lot in advance.

Ok, i found a (dirty) workaround (it needs some commercial software though)

1.) I downloaded Filewatcher from http://www.datamystic.com/filewatcher.html (there's a 30 day free trial)
I set it up to watch the receipts-folder for new .html files and then hand the new file over to

2.) printHTM.bat Version 2.0 from http://www.robvanderwoude.com/printfiles.html
I had to Change the "Print"for my localized Windows-Version - The comments in the batch file tell you where to do so

3.) Copy Kix32.exe into the receipts-folder. - It's used for selecting the Printer you specify as parameter in the filewatcher-app and to "simulate" the click on print. It can be found at http://www.kixtart.org/

4.) Turn of the integrated "Print receipts" - option in TTD (you have to issue receipts though)

Voila! - Receipts are printed automatically, and you can chose the printer you'd like to use!

@Corey: If you could integrate an option to hand the newly generated .html receipt to a batch file, this would be great! - First things first, it'd be a cleaner way than watching a folder with a seperate application, also you would save me US$ 24.95 for the full version of FileWatcher.

That's a pretty elaborate - and inventive - solution.

Launching external programs from the TD is rather ugly, to be honest, but it can be done.  I'll see about doing this for receipt printing.  I can't say that it will be high on the list, but we'll see...
