Title: Bounty
Post by: johnhend on September 26, 2006, 02:08:54 AM
One way we play is to have a "bounty pot" that everyone is required to participate in.  Right now, I call it a "per player rake," and then after everyone is seated, I pick the player that got seated at Table 1/Seat 1 and designate him as the bounty.  Then, I go to the prizes tab, (which I have a locked "bounty pot" prize - the rest are "automatic" - thank you for that!!), and I select which person is the bounty, type his name in the "non-monetary" box, and it shows up as "bounty: player name" on the screen.

That's all well and good... what I would love is a "bounty pot" on the game setup tab, then a "bounty button" or "bulls-eye" on the tables tab - that randomly assigns to a player and updates the prizes accordingly.

Seems trivial, but I've noticed that there's quite a few folks playing with a bounty pot - either randomly assigned to just specifically assigned to the previous tournament winner, so this would be a welcome addition.

I've done about a dozen mock tournaments and two live tournaments (one 15-player, the other 12), all with great success - and the software is a HIT!  I'm playing in a 40-player tourney this weekend and using the software, so I'm looking forward to seeing what new challenges that will bring!

Thanks!

This sugestion goes to the background part of your post.  Instead of taking a rake for your bounty, then manually applying the prize, just set up a prize that is the appropriate % of a buy-in and set it to a bounty.  This way you don't have to edit the amount every tourney.

I know this doesn't address the random target selector, but thought I'd throw it out there.
