General Discussion / Fourteen years...
« on: October 27, 2018, 02:19:36 AM »
I've been using TD for fourteen years...just realized that tonight when my very old laptop finally blue screened and will only boot up in safe mode.  I realized...that I don't have my license key anymore! :P

Thankfully, my computer booted up in safe mode and I was able to get the last 5 of my key to put in for the upgrade to 3 (and save my database and everything else!).  I've never upgraded to 3 because we had everything we needed and TD2 worked perfectly for what our game has become (a once per season thing).

TD has been a part of my recreational life for a very long time.  It's been awesome, and I'm happy to see it's still around :D

Suggestions / New sound effect
« on: February 20, 2007, 10:25:24 AM »
Hey everyone; it's been a loooong time since I've visited the forum.

On that note, Cory I don't know when you're planning on another update, but I have a suggestion for a new sound event if it's possible.  I don't know if this has been asked in the past...I tried the search and didn't find anything...

Is it possible to make a separate sound event for when there's a chop?  I have a sound file from Deal or No Deal that I think would be awesome for such a situation.

Anyway, still using/loving the program since it was released in late '05 although not as much since my league kind of...died.

Beta Testing / Stat screen Bug
« on: July 25, 2006, 10:39:30 AM »
Something small, but I'd like to know if this is the same for everyone else.

1) I installed 2.2 into a new folder, then imported the player DB, and imported my current league and season.  When I tried to refresh the stats page, all the tournaments were filtered, but none of the players were filtered.  After playing with the filters for a bit, I finally opened an old tournament and found out that none of the players in the old tournament were listed as being in the database, even though I had imported the database from the last version.  Was this expected?

To remedy this easily, I uninstalled 2.2, created a copied folder of 2.1.2 and installed 2.2 over 2.1.2.  That retained my DB, settings, etc.

2) When I move the column tabs around by clicking and dragging them, a red "X" appears like there's a missing image.

Suggestions / Sign-in Sheet
« on: May 19, 2006, 12:32:32 PM »
I noticed that after the update, the sign-in sheets now have the word "no" in the "paid" column if that player hadn't paid when you created the sheet.  Personally, I liked it better when it was blank cause I just used it as a check box.  Is there a way to remove the word "no" from the "paid" column when I create the sign-in sheet?  (like, is there a preference for that that I'm just missing . . . which is likely the case . . . cause I'm just like that :P ).  I mean, it's not a big thing cause I just mark over the words, but when going through pages of people, it was easier to spot my checkmarks in a sea of white space ;)

Suggestions / New stat
« on: April 08, 2006, 09:22:38 PM »
If it's possible to do, I'd love an option on the stat page to list how many games a player has won.  I noticed there's a stat showing how often players "placed" (or finished in the money), but I don't think there's an overall "wins" column.  I think that would be cool. :)

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Layouts
« on: February 15, 2006, 04:41:45 PM »
Just to get the ball rolling on this: here's the layouts I use for our home poker league.  The first is before the tournament starts and the second is during the game.

These aren't amazingly creative or anything . . . but hey . . . they work for us. :)
The Pre-Tournament design really is all about getting the important information to everyone without having the switch screens every five seconds.  I like doing this more than having the screens rotate beetween the tournament window and the seating chart, even though TD2.0 can do that.  This is nicer I think.
