Help Me / Names verses Nicknames

I have read through the documents and have found a lot of useful information. One thing I can not find is how to only use nicknames and for the ones that do not have one, how to use just the first name.  I am working on exporting some of the files to our website and several members do not want their full names on the web.  I do keep both names, because I use the database for email and mailing list.

I hope someone can help.

I am looking to find where I can print out documents so I do not have to go back and forth.  I guess I am not too computer savy and need all the help I can get.  Thanks
