Grand prize final pot calculation
« on: January 01, 2009, 07:20:25 PM »
I know this is a noob question but is there a way to keep track of a grand prize final pot other than entering it as a rake?

We run a weekly game with $5 buy-ins and $5 rebuys.  An additional $5 is contributed to the grand prize final pot paid to the winner of the 10-game league.
I understand that if I enter the additional $5 (grand prize pot (gpp))  as a fixed rake the running total will be calculated on the stats page.  However, since I enter the gpp as a rake, it is deducted from the weekly pot total.  For example, 5 players contribute to the gpp ($25) and the weekly pot total is $50, TD2 records the weekly pot total as $50 - $25 (rake) = $25.

Is there a way to disable the rake deduction from the pot total?

Not sure I completely follow, but you should enter it as a per-player rake.  Create a new rake on the Preferences tab and name it appropriately.  If you have a $5 buy-in tournament and everyone ALSO contributes $5 towards the "GPP", then the buy-in should be $10 with $5 raked for the GPP.
