Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: CardroomMAGIC Layout
« on: January 06, 2010, 06:48:02 PM »
i manage a club with 15 tables and tournaments daily and twice each day on weekends. i change my layout once every 3 months and for special occasions (xmas, halloween, thanksgiving) and i create a montage of sound clips and music to introduce my tournaments. All my layouts have swf files embedded into the layout and, most recently, swf files as my background (thanks corey). my layouts and sounds are frickin amazing and many of my customers have asked me to design layouts for their own home games, and the organizer of a province wide poker league (20 000 members) has approached me to design the clock for his regional tourneys, finals and his celebrity tourneys. I am unable to upload swf files to the forum so I will build a site as soon as i have time and display some of my layouts and sounds for each layout.

General Discussion / Re: Minumum Raise in No Limit Texas Hold'em
« on: January 06, 2010, 12:27:52 PM »
The big blind is the minimum bet and the small blind is half the minimum bet. The big blind is not a raise and therefore, pre-flop, the minimum raise is double the bet of the big blind.

Suggestions / Firefox/IE
« on: December 28, 2009, 01:45:02 AM »
Is it possible to have TD2 use the default browser while running and not IE? Even though IE is much more secure and stable than IE6, I still do not allow my staff to use IE on any of my machines at work. (The fewer Microsoft products, the better). I cant be sure, but this might also allow TD2 to run under WINE (because it doesn't rely on IE).

I dont want to change the default tourney. I would like to have shortcuts to the different tournaments on my desktop and those shortcuts open up the respective tournaments. All shortcuts currently open up the default tourney.

General Discussion / Re: mocké une main

ca depend de le regles de la place. Au Snakes Poker Club, nos regles empeche un joueur qui est 'all-in' de mocke leur main. il faut que le joueur s'informe de tous les reglements avant de jouer.

My club currently runs 7 different tournaments, all with their own blind structure and buy-ins. Could it be possible in a future release to allow a shortcut from the desktop to open up a specific tournament and not the default tournament?

Help Me / Extended Display
« on: December 21, 2009, 01:38:16 AM »
I have two displays, and am using full screen for TD. Every time I start up TD2, it opens up full screen on my main display, leaving me to go to the preferences>extended display and move the game window to my secondary display. How do I set TD2 to open up the game window in full screen on my secondary display by default?

To do this, you will need Firefox with Autoscroll for musicians add-on and you will need Flash (or someone that can create a swf file for you).
Install the add-on and export the seating chart to an HTML and place it on your desktop. On the bottom right corner of firefox, there is a music note. Click on it and set it to active, slide the slider all the way to the right to get a decent scroll speed. Open the seating chart in firefox and time how long it takes for the entire list to scroll through.
Create a Flash document, set the frames per second to 1. If your screen takes 35 seconds to scroll through all names or tables, insert a keyframe at frame 40 (5 seconds for players at bottom of list time to see their seat). Go to the actions panel and use the get URL command and enter the address of the HTML file you exported (on desktop). Save and publish this to your desktop (you only need the .swf file).
Next, edit the Tables export template C:\Program Files\The Tournament Director 2\templates and open up the tables export template with a html editor. Insert the swf file and set it's size to 1px X 1px. so it doesn't show up when on the screens.
Plenty of work, but I've already tied it out and it works..
Autoscroll link
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6515
After every seating change, go to the tables tab and export and overwrite the HTML file on your desktop.
The autoscroll will slowly scroll from top to bottom, and the swf file embedded will reload the pagfrom the top.
Hope I didnt leave anything out...

Help Me / Re: Multiple Displays

There are switches (splitters you can buy that will split the signal up. The link I have provided here will split the signal up to 4 different monitors. Use one output from your video-card for your own display and the secondary to the switch which will all show the same display (your second monitor. This switch also serves as a signal booster. I dont know how many switches you can hook up simultaneously, but at least this will give you 4 extra monitors.

Sorry to be a pest over this problem, but even assigning a negative value for the z-index is still not showing my other cells.
<div style="position: absolute; left: 0; top: -30; background-color: transparent; color: transparent; z-index: -1"><embed src="C:\Documents and Settings\Jody Stacey\Desktop\snowfall.swf" width="1024" height="768" type="application/x-shockwave-flash">
</embed></div>
i will e-mail you the swf file that is part of the layout

I followed your instructions, and the swf file does display. The remaining cells are not displaying. I changed the size of my swf file to a very small size and the cells are there, however, at full screen, the cells remain behind the swf file. Could there be something missing in the HTML?
Here is the code in the cell:

<div style="position: absolute; left: 0; top: -30; background-color: transparent; color: transparent; z-index: 0"><embed src="C:\Documents and Settings\Jody Stacey\Desktop\snowfall.swf" width="1024" height="768" type="application/x-shockwave-flash">
</embed></div><div/>
