Suggestions / Re: Last Man Standing
« on: July 04, 2015, 04:34:41 AM »
This is something we run very often in our club too.
Have not found any way to display current standing in TD for it, but i do have a separate buy in profile for the persons that want to join the side action.
I do have to keep track manually, and it can get really hard if the top payouts contain both sideaction players and those that don't play the sideaction.
One way for the players to know, is to give the sideaction players a bountychip or something like that so the others can see this physical chip and thereby see who's still in.
But it would be great to have this in TD so there was 2 price pools and a way to show a list of names of the sideaction players, and a token for number of sideaction players to.

Suggestions / Re: Save set of buyin profiles
« on: May 25, 2015, 03:12:21 AM »
Often there could be change in buyins minutes before tournament starts.
(Local club, if few players, they get to decide the buyin)
And for us we have 6 diffrent buyin profiles every time.

member + bonuschips (more chips then startingstack)
member (startingstack)
member latereg (less chips then startingstack)

not member + bonuschips (double rake and more chips then startingstack)
not member (double rake and startingstack)
not member latereg (double rake and less chips then startingstack)

I could have a template for each buyin saved, but there would be a lot of templates to update if any adjustments where made to one of them.

It would be great if you could save/load a set (or single) buyin profiles.

Help Me / Re: Script Error with iFRAME
« on: April 09, 2015, 02:06:21 AM »

There are no plans because it depends entirely on whether or not Microsoft will update support for HTML applications.

Corey, have you looked at the possibility to use Chromium as a platform instead of IE?
I'm not a huge developer my self so I'm not sure if even possible, but from my understanding the Chromium might be more "open" platform and a bit more "modern".

I'm a Google user my self, but maybe you could try Microsoft's Excel, they are online now days to i think in their OneDrive.live.com, i made a quick look and their spreadsheets seems to have a function for embedding the excel file.
Do not know if its a working solution for you, but maybe worth looking at.

Suggestions / Exporting to Statsgenie v3
« on: November 26, 2014, 06:19:56 AM »
Been exporting to import stats to "StatsGenie v3"
Everything works great except when importing an tournament with rebuy, then i have to fill in the rebuy cost manually after importing it to statsgenie.
(not a big problem, but maybe there is a way to adjust your export, or maybe he can adjust his import, to get the rebuy cost automatically?

Suggestions / Default filename at export
« on: November 26, 2014, 06:13:19 AM »
Any possibility to have the TD to suggests the default filename at export?
Now when exporting (to statsgenie for example) the filename field is empty for manual input.
Why not have the allready made "filename.tdt" in the filename field as filename.xml?

This would save some time at export.
(I'm doing multiple years and league and seasons export and its a time consuming task)

A batch export would be the most preferred solution but anything that helps would be great.

Suggestions / Re: Bonus chips during buy-in
« on: April 07, 2014, 03:43:26 AM »
Why not offer the dealerbouns at initial buy in, and not at the table, then you could have 2 buy in profile like:

Name: Regular Buy In
Buy in: $60
Chips: 13000
Rake: "your normal rake"

and/or

Name: Buy In with Dealerbonus
Buy in: $65
Chips: 16000
Rake: "your normal rake"
DealerRake: $5

Suggestions / Re: Editable path for prefs.sav
« on: March 14, 2014, 04:33:39 AM »
Yea i tried that one before, its good for letting me put the prefs file in my dropbox for auto backup, but not the exact what i would like to have.
I can manage it by an simple .bat script before starting TD, but it would be nice to have it automatically.

I haven't looked into this in a while, but now i would like to have the prefs file in the data location.
This would be good because i alternate between 3 diffrent data folders depending on where i run the tournament.

And all places i have diffrent settings, like some place i have "choose hitman" and the others not.
Some place i have diffrent currency , some place i use notification, and so on and so on..
i even have separate databases for the diffrent location.

Would be great if all location specific settings where loaded when i switch the active data location.

Glad to help.

When clicking in or out the "Show Settings window tab navigation arrows" under "display preferences" gives me an error.
I'm on win 8.

General Discussion / Saved by Dropbox AGAIN!
« on: March 04, 2014, 01:07:41 AM »
Maybe i have said this before, but it's a great idea to have your TD data folder in your dropbox.

Last weekend i did it again, I'm running a monthly game including 2 tournaments a night. (this night no 3 & 4)
In the stress to get the second one running i did not notice that i had loaded file no 4 in my first tournament.
so now when i loaded file no 4 again i did nor reflect over the data in it and reseted the tournament.

After tournament no 4 i was refreshing the stats and all data from no 3 was gone.
These tournaments are ranking based so having the stats is essential. (I'm counting knockouts, rebuys and have bounty's, so its not easy to recall all the actions if trying to replay the tournament from memory.

Thank god for dropbox, and the versions history there.
i had to go back 53 versions on the file before i found the one before reseting the previous one. (i use auto save)
But i found it and restored it and it saved me once again. (yes it was the second time i made the same misstake)

So i really recommend everyone that have internet connection on there TD computer to dropbox sync your data folder, it can be a real saver.

Make a master tournament, use it the first time, and save.
Next time, open previous tournament, use "Save as" and save with new filename (i use the days date in the filename) after save, click reset tournament and choose if you want to reset buyins.
I make total reset and then i remove the players from player tab.
All i have to do then is add the new players and im set to go. (unless you have diffrent buyins or any other things you want to save.)
