Help Me / Re: Can you use TD to run a progressive bounty tournament
« on: June 19, 2012, 10:15:57 AM »
I've only played it online so it's all calculated for you but it works like this.

Say it's £20 buy in £10 in the pot & £10 on your head
If i take someone out with a £10 bounty i get £5 to cash and the other £5 goes on my head making me a £15 bounty. Then i bust someone who's accumulated a £25 bounty so i cash another £12.50 and my bounty rise's to £27.50.
This is obviously easy to workout online, it keeps track of your bounties cashed & your current bounty, then just pays what your gathered when or if you bust. If you win the tournament not only do you cash a % of the pot you cash your own accumulated bounty....if this makes sense.

If i start a tournament with TD and give everyone a £10 bounty, i would need some kind of option for a % to roll over to their bounty when busting a player. So as long as i have entered player A has been busted by player B TD will calculate that player B now has X amount.

Help Me / Can you use TD to run a progressive bounty tournament
« on: June 19, 2012, 05:37:30 AM »
If i wanted to run a bounty game where you cash half the bounty and the other half goes back on your own head, is this possible to track with TD ??
I played a similar game recently and enjoyed it, was just wondering if i could emulate it with the help of TD to run my own.
Cheers

Help Me / Help with alerting players to breaks
« on: June 18, 2012, 02:28:46 PM »
Hiya folks

I have setup a tournament with a break set after round 4, 8 & 12
I have a event set alerting the players to the upcoming break around 7 secs at the end of these levels. But for some reason i'm getting the alert at the end of all levels, even the end of the breaks is informing the players there's another break coming lol

What formula do i need to insert to get this working right.
I just need this alert to fire 7 sec's before each of the above rounds end and thats it.
Cheers

Sorry folks i got the points wrong on this formula.

I need the points to show 10 points per player busted & bonus points as follows

1st = 100, 2nd = 80, 3rd = 70, 4th = 60, 5th = 50, 6th = 40, 7th = 30, 8th = 20

So if we had 20 players
1st out would get 10 points
2nd out would get 20 points etc etc

Cheers

Points are awarded: 1st = 100, 2nd = 80, 3rd = 70, 4th = 60, 5th = 50, 6th = 40, 7th = 30, 8th = 20, all others = 10.

Yet another nice layout, but after spending many many hours altering the last layout i downloaded off the forums to a resolution of 1600x900 i'm not sure i have the patience to do it all over again  :D
I have downloaded your files and may have a dabble when i get some time to spare.

Help Me / Re: Help with formatiing & fitting cells

It's something I'd like to do with the TD.  You can't do it today.  In short, I would like to add a "free form" setting for a Screen.  This would allow you to put cells anywhere on the screen, without them being confined to rows and columns.  The idea would be that you design the screen directly in the Game window (this would make "Layout Design Mode" have some real usefulness), by dragging cells, dragging corners to resize, that sort of thing.

Now thats what i'm taking about, could make some very impressive tournament layouts with a setup like that. Fingers crossed for TD 4.0  ;)

Resolution is 1600x900

I have the original backdrop setup perfectly (with a few minor adjustments) for a league i run.
The new back drop is for a bounty game i want to run, so needs a few more details like antes.....so i just need this new layout to work.

Hiya Corey

Is that something i can do this end, or are we talking something to do with Tournament Director...i think we have been spoilt over the years with advancements in programs where they are simplified to the point that most users can use them. Drag n drop, easy format etc etc...so when it comes to getting to grips with TD it's like learning English all over again  ;D

I'm going to keep messing to see if i can get this right, as the layout pic is perfect for what i need. I just need the cells to be within the pics borders
