Rebuys not at bust out and seating without paying
« on: March 21, 2006, 10:28:46 AM »
Corey,

Talked with you in the past on the older version.  Great program!  With the new program I am frustrated with not being able to sit people prior to making them paid. Maybe you can configure the tournament program to allow that as some folks get to the tourneys late and I need to have the seated to post and fold them until they arrive but want to recall that they have not paid yet.
Also, we typically allow players to rebuy when they get below a certain level in chips (ie. 300) but the program will not allow that unless they are busted out completely.  Is there a possibility of have both options available?
I am suggesting and have been your program to everyone who has bought my tables. I am glad to see you will be charging people now.  It is a great program.

Thanks!

Ted,

Buy-in the players who haven't shown up yet, but don't mark them "Paid in Full".  Then you can seat them and start the tournament, and post-and-fold them until they arrive.  Mark them "Paid in Full" when they show up and pay for the buy-in.

Allowing rebuys before a player has busted out is on the to-do list.  In the meantime, you can use the add-on feature to get around this, as you can purchase an add-on while a player is in the tournament, and you can adjust the values (cost, chips received, etc) for the add-on at time of purchase.  Now, this *will* skew your stats if you are tracking add-ons vs. rebuys, etc., so, FYI...
