TD 2 vs TD2.21
« on: October 02, 2006, 12:17:28 AM »
Have been using this great software for several months.  I am trying to decide if I should upgrade.  If I understand all of my custom screens will remain the same, although the default screens will be upgraded.  All of my data will transfer.

Does the upgarde overwrite two?

With that all in mind, it is not clear to me if my license fee covers this upgrade or is there an upgrade fee?

Corey thanks again for a great product.

Rick.

It's covered; just download and install it over your copy of 2.0 and you'll be fine.  If you're worried, copy the folder you installed TD 2.0 in, but there shouldn't (and won't) be a problem.

Upgrade cost is covered here (short answer is: no fee): http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/faq.html#faq2
Upgrading with respect to saved tournaments, templates, etc is mentioned on the download page (http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/download.html).  Basically, templates that are included with the software WILL be overwritten.  Which is why I recommend (in the user manual) that if you wish to make changes to an included template, to first copy it to a new file.
