Suggestions / Window Names
« on: January 20, 2014, 10:55:17 AM »
Hi Corey,

Another minor suggestion I think!

With the advent of being able to run con-currently it would be very handy if the filename was the first item on any window;

for example where the settings window now says:

The Tournament Director Settings - tournament20140120-123456 Description.tdt

It would be much easier if this was shortened or the filename was first, then The Tournament Director aftwerwards, so when you are chopping between tournaments identification of each tournament is faster.

The taskbar icons also just list "The Tournament Director, whereas if possible and the same as above it would be of much help if it listed the filename instead, basically the same type of behaviour that Microsoft Office exhibits (filename - program name)

Suggestions / Dashboard II
« on: December 12, 2013, 11:29:16 AM »
Hi Corey,

A few buttons I think would be handy on the dashboard which are on the controls screen:

Eliminate
Re-Instate
Pause/Unpause
Add Player
New Player
and finally Sound Picker
(I know most of these are currently on the dashboard in their short format, but was thinking it would be ideal if they were also available as a full cell button (or drop down menu in the case of the sound picker)

Suggestions / Display : Prizes Token
« on: December 02, 2013, 07:48:28 AM »
Hi Corey, any chance I could get a token added to the above to remove the Prize Name from the token, so I can have two cells for prizes; one with the prize name and amount right aligned and the other with the recipient left aligned, therefore allowing me to display as in the below photo shot.

Cheers

Could we have the "Move to Extended Display,"Move and Size to Extended Display" & "Move to Main Display" buttons added to the dashboard?

Would sure solve so many headaches teaching people to use the software!

Suggestions / Commercial Desirable Items?
« on: February 06, 2013, 07:08:20 PM »
Just thought I would re-hash, many of the items which may or may not have managed their way onto the to-do list!

Seating Chart List in Alphabetical pages of ~80 players per page, flicking through each page every 5 seconds, the list of columns which scroll was a great addition, but still slows seating during large MTT's a paged view could also flick through the chart and also include on the final page a diagram of the cardroom layout if required.

Flights - for multiple day1 events, register into specific flight and or draw players onto flights randomly, then combine flights for day 2, and or merge tournaments together for the purpose of day 2

The ability to run more than one tournament at a time, this would be a major item to catch up with other commercial softwares, single, double or quadruple clock screens utilising the extended display.

Seating Ticket stubs printable from a receipt printer (name, table, seat number)

Prize receipts printable from the prizes tab including multiple copies (player, cardroom, cage)

Prize tab in spreadsheet view

Addition of a Registration fee for tournament buy-ins eg $10+$1 instead of $11-$1

Additional tokens for receipts including buyin tourney description gametype and limit

Suggestions / Paid In/Collected
« on: January 15, 2013, 12:17:07 PM »
Hi Corey,

Any chance I can have a layout token for Paid In total (ie collected) this is so I can differentiate between house contribution and collected money in a guarantee tournament that way I can display it in the same manner as below as I can't currently have both amounts separated from each other when I add a guarantee, house contribution and direct buy-in together.

Help Me / SOLVED: Lost With Printing Script Error
« on: September 18, 2012, 08:35:33 AM »
Hi all,

Recently upgraded my Laptop and transferred TD3 onto it from the old one, everything has wen't fine, except for printing to the receipt printer, where I keep getting script error 2126, I have searched on here and used the Microsoft Support website to try and rectify the problem, to no avail,

Currently Windows 7 SP1 64Bit
Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421

The Receipt Printer is a Citizen CT-S2000

Drivers are upto date, I have also used the Microsoft "Fix It" tools, Printer works fine with all other programs such as Excel etc, just Explorer and hence TD3, other printers work fine also through explorer/TD3.  Do you think I need to try an older version of the Printer Software? Any suggestions or experience of this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Suggestions / New Tournament
« on: April 20, 2012, 11:23:06 AM »
Not a big one, but was thinking how easy a new tournament is to set up on cardroom magic.  You select new and then specify the structure, prizes, entry amounts etc from drop down menus, once complete you click create and it then has already set-up the tournament and you are ready to begin registration, obviously with TD3 you would probably need an option to use <none> or <existing> on each drop down. would something like this be achievable on TD3?

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / CardroomMAGIC layout
« on: January 08, 2012, 09:31:07 AM »
Hi all, I have mustered up a "cooler" version of the UK Casino cardroomMAGIC software layout for use on TD3.

I currently use the Forth Rail Bridge as a background, but you can change the background picture with anything you want by going to Layout Tab > Properties

The layout is packaged up below in the 3 most common screen relolution sizes, simply pick the closest match to your own resolution, and if it doesn't fit perfectly use the auto-size option.

The announcements to accompany the layout can be found on the following thread: http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/forums/index.php?topic=2293.0

Special mention must goto Timmer and Corey with assistance in me becoming sufficiently fluent in layout design to set this up! Hope you like!

Suggestions / For the Commercial Users
« on: November 18, 2011, 09:14:01 AM »
A few items, many will already be on your 'To do' list but I thought I would re-hash them again:

Seating Chart columbs available in pages, rather as a single scrolling layout

Availability to run simultaneous tournaments from single PC, with multiple instances of TD running together, including a "hide screen" option so one tourney can easily be displayed on extended output whilst other tourney is registering

Flights - for multiple day1's of same event, the ability to draw & register players onto separate flights of the tourney, and the combine players together to form a combined prizepool, points, day 2/3 etc

an option where a new player is added in the players dialogue that TD remembers this addition when you click buy-in or immediately displays the buy-in dialogue with that player checked

an end to the correlation of players names being the principle control of the tourney, an option to simply reduce/increase the players and tables in use without having to bust out names and balance tables using the software, including the ability to eliminate all players from the tourney, and the clock continues, whilst you reinstate the correct players back into the tourney for the final table/first re-draw (we balance all tourneys manually after initial draw and bust out any name from the screen to simply keep the count correct on screen, then re-instate the correct names a few players before a re-draw/payout is required)

Prizewinner's receipts, printable from the prizes tab, with the ability to select any player remaining for that prize (click player, print, eliminate from tourney)

Prizes tab viewable/editable as a spreadsheet

Simplified option for tables, as numbers rather as names (to correlate with Paged Seating Chart, "Surname, Firstname - TABLE - SEAT (columb headers), with the ability to enter table numbers where tiers exist, (eg tier 1 = table 11,12,13 etc)

Customisable sound event buttons on the dashboard, could pick the sound on the edit dashboard pref tab, and it displays the filename without extension or a manually entered description of the sound, for example "!!Announce Start!!" which would link to "shuffle up and deal.wav"

Printable place tickets for each seat http://www.thetournamentdirector.net/forums/index.php?topic=2701.0 printed off by table number selection.

EDIT: A Registration & or Participation Fee option for example £30+£3, rather as £33 - £3 = £30 (defined as a rake)

Think that should do for now!!

Software is brill though, can do so much today with it that was not possible when I started using it!

Help Me / layout help
« on: November 12, 2011, 09:46:22 AM »
Hi all,

I have been editing the UK Casino layout to include a background, as I'm getting rather bored of plain colours on my tourney screens.  I override all background colours and remove the picture from the middle which is the red centre piece, but have no way of making a black background for the blinds, ante, prize money text and today's prizes text, I could also do with filling the clock with a red background along with the Next Increase Text with black and Blinds text with black.

Anyone any idea??
