Help Me / Re: TD slowing/hanging and/or crashing
« on: March 20, 2015, 09:33:32 PM »
So far, it seems to be working with a Windows XP VM....

But i really wonder what could be the problem, i have those patches on all my PC's and still have the problem on all my PC's (slow down to a crawl).

Anyway... i have a work around with the Win XP VM... my only problem is that my Serial doesn't register on the VM and it has internet access...

I will investigate that tommorow, and if i still can't register, i will open a ticket i guess...

Hi,

I tried all solution proposed here, i tried Win 7, Win 8, and Win 8.1... nothing worked. still loosing performance, up to a point where TD is non-responsive at all.

I tried physical machines and VM with all OS above, patched or NOT (bare install from the ISO... without any Updates installed).

I tried the patches, nothing works... i am unable to run a tournament anymore with this software at all.

Now i am trying a WinXP VM, but if it doesn`t work, i will be forced to use another software because this is not something that happened before (we took a year break from our league).

There must be something else...

BTW, do you have anything in the works for Windows 10? Because Microsoft announced this week that they are dropping Internet Explorer, and it will not be part of Windows 10, so it will be replaced. I know your software rely on IE, but what will happen with it once Windows 10 doesn`t have IE anymore?

Mostly nobody uses IE anymore... Is there any alternatives going on? Because those kinds of issues are a bummer... and since there is no future for IE, i hope you have a plan.

Thanks for helping out!

Help Me / Re: Numéro ID des joueurs
« on: April 10, 2013, 07:01:52 PM »
Bonjour,

Hi

The Chop function exists and it does exactly what you want... you can either split just the money, just the points, or both money and points... and you can ajust it by 1% increments... you can chop it as you want... it's already there.

Help Me / Re: Rake details on Receipt
« on: February 22, 2013, 07:33:38 AM »
Hi Corey,

So it`s something about the bounty, i played again around with it, and if i raise the bounty to 3$... then the buy-in goes up to 36$, but if i issue a refund of that buy-in the receipt gets printed with a -30$ instead of a -36$.

So really, it`s the bounty that gets charged again when you issue a refund.

ALSO.... if you do an add-on on a buy-in, and issue a refund on the add-on, you get the warning that removing this player will result in a removal of the player, but will also remove the add-on and rebuy and will remove the player from the game, but the receipt printed is only printed for the buy-in amount... the add-on doesn`t get refunded... and doesn`t get printed... which doesn`t balance out.

Hi,

Played around it again tonight, and it`s something about the bounty when you undo a buy-in that something is wrong.

And it seems only wrong on the receipt calculation... because inside the TD the summary is 0$...

I attached 2 receipt... one is the result of undo-ing a buy-in with bounty... and one without bounty...

The one without bounty has everything right... buy-in was 33$, and refund is 33$.

But if i add bounty with a 2$ value on bounty... the buy-in totals to 35$ which is ok... but the undo buy-in totals to -31$ and the bounty value printed on the receipt is not -2$... it`s 2$... so it sounds like it`s not deducting 2$ to refund you, it actually charge the bounty again on the refund... which would be logical if you paid 2$ at the buy-in and another 2$ at the refund... seems to be around that...

yes Corey, you are right, the only thing that doesn't follow up is the license registration...

And as per licensing, you should not be using the software with the same license on more than one PC at a time...  which is the reason why i got the license installed on all my home computers, because i NEVER know in advance from which PC i will run TD on a poker night... it all depends on availability (wife, and 3 kids uses a lot of PC's in the house... i have to use what's left and available!!!!)

Found out something wierd with that modification i did in the receipt.html to reflect the way to hide the 0$ transaction...

When i buy in someone, everything is fine, and all rakes with an amount higher than 0$ gets printed on the receipt, and this is whatever the type of buy-in profile i use.

What is wierd, is IF i have to proceed with an undo-buy-in, then it gets a different amount that was initialy paid...

And i think this is only happening on the receipt, because the summary tab gets updated correctly...

What i saw is like this:

Buy In * 28$
- Rake1 * 1$
- Rake2 * 1$
- Rake3 * 1$
- Rake4 * 5$

Bounty * 2$

Total * 30$

Now if i do a undo buy-in of that same person, this is what get printed:

Buy In * -28$
- Rake1 * -1$
- Rake2 * -1$
- Rake3 * -1$
- Rake4 * -5$

Bounty * 2$

Total * -26$

I know that i only display the rakes from the way you explained in your prior response... and it works fine... only wierd numbers get printed, and if i ever have to proceed with a undo-buy-in someone will ask why they are short 4$...

As you can see... it negates the 28$ of the buy-in with a -28$ but it doesn't negate the Bounty on the receipt... it says 2$... instead of -2$

And all rakes are only displayed...

I can provide you my receipt.html if you want, but i want to know if this is a known error... i will try tonight with the default receipt.html file from the installation setup TD3.2b3...

I taught that if someone does a buy-in of 30$, the un-do should be -30$... but it goes to -26$... i wonder why....

Really far from the best, because i want to manage everything inside the very same program.

I am already tracking membership elsewhere, and the reason i would like to do it at ONE single place it`s because it`s more convenient... after 8 years, easier is better.

Yes you can... as long as you have your datastore on your flashdrive... and your flashdrive always uses the same drive letter...

On my side, i run TD on a flash drive, but my datastore is in my documents folder... the only reason is because i run TD since version 2, and my being too lazy to convert everything back like it should, i coded everything with my datastore residing on my documents folder...

I run TD from 3 different PC in my house... all with the same configuration.... from the flashdrive, so it can be done.

Told you...  ;D

I have the same type league for 8 years, and my god... i saw stupid calls on All-in bets for the past years... it's totally insane...

Some people are there, only because their guts tells them to keep going... and, overall, they are insanely lucky to connect like that...

You can't do anything against someone's feeling... if he's feeling he will beat you, he/she really might really beat you up...

I am running the same type of league for the past 8 years...

And i totaly understand your point... The problem here, is not that they all play loose and you play too tight... is that you are too competitive for that type of players.

And you will never find a good way to adapt yourself to those loose players. I tried all sort of things... and nothing works, because, all those players are TOTALY unpredictable... they would call your All-in preflop with pocket AA with a 6-9 off suit... because they don't calculate odds, pot odds, card outs, position... etc...

So useless to try to do something here agains't them... you have to play slow, and play better hands... and forget the aggresive type of play here, because, their feeling is that they will connect their 6-9 offsuited... and they are confident to beat you up, which mostly always happen! ;-)

Best strategy i found agains't those players... is to slow play them... most of the time, they will follow you up to the river... and if they connect, they will raise you on the river... if not, they will just call or bet the blinds and try to connect... if you have the stack to bully them, whatever you try to do, they will still pay to see the river card... so better to make it cheap up to the river... and go ballistic on the river... slow play and trapping them is the best way i found...
