Help Me / Re: Wrong Sound file playing.
« on: August 08, 2021, 09:22:08 AM »
hi, are your ante announcements separate from your blind announcements or are they one combined sound file which plays the blind amount and the ante amount?

your conditions would need to be something along these lines (For separate blind/ante announcements):

Trigger: A Level Starts
Conditions: isRound and (smallBlind = 200) and (bigBlind = 400) and (state = 2) and (roundNum > 1)
Actions: Play Sound: 200 - 400

with a separate event for the ante:

Trigger: The Clock Ticks
Conditions: isRound and (ante = 400) and (secondsElapsed = 6) and (state = 2) and (roundNum > 1)
Actions: Play Sound: Ante 400

or for combined blind/ante sound files you would need something along these lines:

Trigger: A Level Starts
Conditions isRound and (smallBlind = 200) and (bigBlind = 400) and (ante = 400) and (state = 2) and (roundNum > 1)
Actions Play Sound: 200 - 400 - a400

yes create two property sets in your cell properties

"Add-ons Allowed" with conditions for either addons are allowed / roundnumber is =<5
"Add-ons Complete" with conditions for addons are completed / roundnumber is =>6

I would then just change the font colour in the during add-on cell set to the same as the background - effectively hiding the prizemoney but keeping the cell contents the same and the other conditions with a visible font colour.

Suggestions / Re: Small Issue with copying screens
« on: February 13, 2021, 08:16:06 AM »
One thing I picked up on your original post was you wanted to make small changes to a few cells, you will not require two separate screens to achieve this, you just need separate conditions on the cell you wish to change - for example change the colour during a break etc, you can then manipulate what displays and how during different states of the tournament.

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: Zombie Layout?

Seems Corey has everything under control here, glad you like it!

The real handy thing about this layout is it will take pretty much any dark wallpaper as a background, just click on properties in the layout tab and you can change the background from there.

Help Me / Re: 500+ player tournament ran by TD
« on: October 02, 2020, 05:12:44 PM »
Used to regularly run 200 region of players tournaments with powerful PC.  No slowdown issues whatsoever.  think a couple of times during one time period it would crash once during a tournament but we just restarted the application i believe.

We just used TD to register, initial seating draw then for displaying blinds, breaks, prizemoney and a current player count and table count, we balanced tables manually using seat cards which is very effective for MTTs with probably around 1 floor person for every 5-10 tables (Your seat cards told you what was empty, how many players you had left as the players handed in the seat cards for empty chairs as they busted and then ket you informed of short handed tables and when you could break tables down).  Once we were down to the money we gathered the remaining players names, and busted everyone out and re-entered the remaining players names and busted out in the correct order from there on in and did a final table seating draw using the software.

Theres so many different ways you can use the software though.  If you have enough staff on the floor the names can be eliminated in the correct order for example.  Simple mode allows the screen to be kept upto date without names being ran through.  The way we did it worked well though as when you get down to the bubble you have a lot more floor staff to keep on top of names.

UHF radios really help those sizes of tournaments, someone can be at the terminal full time updating the tournament in real time.  My way allowed regular updates to player/table counts by counting the spare seat cards.  Its more about the floor staffing level than the software in my experience, most software out there can handle 500 players no problem, but that size of tournament is no good on any software unless you have the staff to keep upto date.

Deselect the option “seat players as close to seat 1 as possible” in the preferences tab, it’s an MTT thing we use to keep the high number seats empty

General Discussion / Re: Straddle in Tournament Play
« on: March 01, 2020, 03:06:07 AM »
The Straddle is an option which is (as you are familiar with) primarily used in Cash Game/Ring Game Poker, rather as Tournament Poker, however there is no rule which prevents a straddle in Tournament Poker.  Generally the Format of your game dictates that there is a pre set of blinds rising continually and a starting set of chips with optional extra chips (add-ons, re-buys, re-entries.)  In my humble opinion straddling in Tournament Poker is not compatible with the set format, however as you can see from the attached link, it is very much open to interpretation and could be allowed should you wish.

My colleagues and I have seen several enquiries from time to time regarding straddles and our answer has always been the same; "A straddle in Tournament poker is just a raise of the big blind amount" whether you take this line in your own games or not is your own decision.

Regards
Stuart

I assume you got an error and either the application exited or just stopped during the initialisation phase and didn't continue.

The default Tournament in config files is/was empty (no file specified) I got to Initialising, the scroll bar completed and then nothing.  I then went into 3.4.3 specified a file and 3.7b3 loaded without issue.

So downloaded B4, and have same issue, I cleared the default tournament in config files, leaving only default events, layout and chips fields with a filename in them, closed TD down, restarted and got to Initialising 100% on the scroll bar, No File Name appeared in the status bar and then nothing.

Cheers

another minor bug (I think)  using the abstract layout as the example, the final table seating chart token won't align the token anywhere bar left of cell.

Also Font Colour picker not functioning when editing layout cells.

Hi Corey,

Well done once again on all your hard work.

Think I have found an issue, on startup I can't get passed initialising, I believe because I don't have a tournament default specified (I keep it blank) once I wen't back to 3.4.3 and specified a tournament 3.7b3 loaded no problem.

All your conditions and triggers seem correct, so would hazard a guess that yes, you were just needing to target your soundfiles to your events.
