Title: Switch from PC to Mac
Post by: Mac_09 on May 23, 2013, 10:04:50 AM
Considering a new computer purchase and thinking about making the switch from pc to a MacBook Air.  I have 6 years of TD files stored on the pc.  Will I be able to pull them into the Mac, i.e., be able to restore on the Mac from a pc-made backup?  I am assuming I could because TD uses it's own file extensions, but wanted to verify.  Thanks.

You need to run windows on your mac, either in parallell desktop, boot camp or similar setup.
I have tried in virtual machine, parallell desktop but have now settled for a win 7 installation in bootcamp on my mac book air..
If you run dual screens, boot camp is to prefer.

I use VMWare Fusion with Windows 7 and TD runs great on my 2012 iMac.  I use AirPlay to send the display to Apple TV.
