Title: bugreport 3.0
Post by: Sewdn on January 21, 2012, 02:33:02 PM
When tournament is played over several days, ranks are not correct.

Ranks are based upon busttime. However, busttime is stored as hour:minutes:seconds, and not as a real timestamp, taking into account the day.
Consequence: players that busted on a previous day but with a higher timestamp, are ranked higher then players busted on a later day with a lower timestamp.

Hope this helps for future releases.

Keep up the good work!
Pieter

This is not the case.  All times are stored as timestamps and always have been.  Players busted out on previous days will always be ranked higher than players busted out on subsequent days, regardless of time-of-day.

I'm sorry, i should have been more thorough when reporting the bug.
You're right about the timestamp, they are stored correctly.

But it seems, that when you reopen the tournament director the next day, reopen the stored TD file and skip forward to the next round, the timestamp is somehow reset to the previous day. This messes up the ranking the way i described.

I'll add en exported TD file, so you can check it yourself. Compare the history log with the final ranking.

Pieter

I admit something appears to be wrong with that tournament, but I can't really work with that particular export.  Why don't you post the actual tournament file?
