Corey:

Getting some goofy percentages on Average Placed. One has only placed 1 time in 11 events and is showing .90 instead of .09. He is the only one under 10%.

Guessing it is random as we never input chip counts except at the beginning of the tournament. Also allows for designated dealer seating and assigning a final table. Both of those were a plus for our home games.

This has improved our home game 100%. Everyone knows what is going on (blinds going up, current blind, next blind, average stacks, etc..) without me as Tournament Director having to stop dealing and give them information. The automatic table balancing is great (no one questioning why they had to move, etc).

This program does everything you could need it to do in addition to keeping up with your database stats and placing them in an .html format so you can post directly to the web without having to use a 3rd party program (Statsgenie) unless you decide you want to go that route.

We play once a month (sometimes twice) and once you have the players setup and put in the database, this program works like a charm. We play with 18-20 players, but some have posted with much larger numbers and more tables. There is a little bit of learning curve on getting your layouts working the way you want them, but I have been overwhelmingly pleased with this program.

As to having to stop and do anything, anyone can hit the space bar on the laptop and just about anyone can hit the "x" key and knock someone out of the tournament. We stop periodically to color up chips, so if you wanted to update chip counts later in the tournament it can be done. It does not pull you away from dealing or playing a tournament (it really does make your life easier).

We move players until we get to a final table..This program does an excellent job of balancing tables. The real beauty is the fact that as tournament director you don't get any "gaff" about you moved him/her because whatever reason. It is picked by the program and you just implement the move as outlined by the program.

Had added a few more to my collection..Sorry if these are repeats or posted earlier, tried to screen but may have missed some, and a Homer rendition of "I am the Champion" for the winner is always pretty obnoxious.

Kind of a minor problem, just had to go in and readjust. It does effect imported tournaments so you may have to go back and check prior tournaments when you are consolidating stats from a couple months back.

Suggestions / Re: New stat

Kind of in the same vane, the Stats Genie kept a statistic for finishes overall. Number of 1st's, 2nd's, etc..Doesn't usually mean anything but is a neat stat. If you finish well consistently, it should reflect in your scores and point totals anyway.

Look under help for merging players. I think there is a way to do that by mergiing into the corrected player.

Help Me / Re: Adding points from previous games?

We generally play two games a night and after the first game I do a "save as" (i.e March 31.game one). I then do another "save as" (i.e March 31, game two). I then load the March 31, game two. This keeps all the players in tact. I then do the reset for the second game. You do have to take your time and make sure that you do the "save as" for both games.

I use a seperate file for the stats. I saved a general template layout with all the rounds, sounds, table set ups, layouts, etc. This is always my base starting file. I then "save as" (game one) the day of the event once I have most or all of the players confirmed. This also allows me to play with different layouts, sounds, etc. without messing with any of the actual games I have saved.

May be doing this the long way around but it allows me to keep each individual tournament played in case I need to pull information from it in the future. We generally play from January - December as a season, so I set up both a league and a season. That way when we do quickie games with five or six, they will not be factored into the season stats as those games are outside of our regular games.

Hope that was clear.

Can't attach an excel file to the forum. Converting it to .html, doh, can't attach that either. Here's where I found one=>
Type tournament bracket in yahoo search engine and go to microsoft templates and search brackets. They have a few different kinds including the NCAA Tournament Bracket.

Hope that helps.

I saw that and changed it last night. Did not realize it said that. I also created a new banner and changed the clock and blinds color from white to yellow. Little easier to see from distance with contrast. We use the laptop as the screen so angles can make it tough to view. Kudo's to you Corey on this program for the screens. It takes a little time to learn how to manipulate, but really does provide many ways to present the information. I have also done three pre-tournament screens with rules, the table layout and posted the .html of the last game played so everyone can view as they wait for tournament to begin. The hit leader functions and the versatility of placing other information on the screen is nice. People really enjoy seeing their name on top of the hitman leader board.

Attach an ipod for music and it really gives all the information during the pre-tournament that folks want to know.

As I stated in another post, the ability to randomize bust outs by placing mulitiple sound files is more fun than actually knowing when a specific one is going to run. We put about nine sound files in the queue and when someone goes out, everyone got quiet to hear their exit sound.

Had one I created using photoshop. Was debating whether to use it or not. Not very fancy but functional.

Thought I would share my work. Just modified on of the existing templates, but it should work well. All the test runs have gone smoothly.
