I am looking for some sound files that I can put into my tournament.
I'm hoping to find a person's voice saying "one minute remaining" or something to that effect.
Can anyone help me out?
-
I have that.
-
Love it ;D
What do others use as sound for their tourneys? I use a cattle call type of sound when there's one minute left in the break and then the wsop banjo theme at the end of the break itself. I'm going use this one minute remaining wav for the rounds.
Any others with cool sound themes?
-
Well, I have a whole run of those sounds. Here's how a typical round goes for our tournaments:
"Twenty minutes to go"
"Fifteen minutes to go"
"Ten minutes to go"
"Five minutes to go"
"Three minutes to go"
"One minutes to go"
"Thirty seconds to go"
"Ten seconds to go"
"Five seconds"
"Three"
"Two"
"One"
Microsoft sound - TADA (from Windows XP) plays for the end of the round. Players have told me that this sound seems to happy for the raising of the blinds, but we all love it anyway.
For the end of the game, I have Strong Bad saying "It's over!" for normal tournaments, and an hockey air horn (the one you hear when the home team scores) for major tournaments.

You can use this website to create spoken wav files. However, they may sound a bit robotic.

The WSOP sound is always used as they enter commercial. Don't you think it should be used at the *beginning* of a break? :-)
Can't remember where exactly I found this one, but it's good for letting players know the game is about to begin.

I have that.
That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much for posting it!
Could you tell me where I could d/l some of the others?
I'm sure that some of you have seen this site before, but here is Clay's TD Sounds (http://nts.umd.edu/~clay/POKER/sounds/). There are some good ones in there.
-
Start>Programs>accessories>entertainment>sound recorder.
At least for Windows machines. You can make your own sound files say whatever you would like - in your voice (I may have my wife redo mine - her voice is more soothing).
I have an "All players are now on break"
a "The blinds are going up"
a "rebuy period is now over" (which I would like to follow with Bruce Springsteen's song "10th avenue freezeout", but haven't done that yet).

Awsome sound bites and links! Thanks gang.

Here is what I use to start my tourneys....
-
Here's what I use when a player is busted out. I think it comes from Dr. Venture, but I'm not sure.
-
I might be doing something wrong, but I am having trouble with 2 sounds playing at the same time. I have my tourney set up to play a "cash register" sound when someone rebuys and a "that's all folks" sound when a player busts out. The problem is, TD picks up both sounds at the same time even though the player rebuys. Corey......... am I doing something wrong?

Since this post, I have gone on a wav spree. I plan to use the some of the following for bust outs (i like the fact that it is randomized when you choose to have multiple sounds). I figure these pretty much sum up getting busted out.
Hope you enjoy. I will be breaking these in for our home game this weekend.
-
Couple more hope you can use and enjoy...

Or you can assign it to a hotkey and play it manually. Lame maybe, but effective.
-
Can't recall if this was asked before, but can you assign more than one sound to an event? I was wondering if it was possible to randomize the sounds for when people bust out, meaning have it play a different sound each time.

That is exactly what will happen if you create more than one sound event for the same event.
-
Oh ok Thanks Corey!! This is an AWESOME program. We all love it
-
The World series of poker commerciela break is an excellent one and is all over the net.. how about the world poker tour one. Anyone have that one?
-
I just did the multiple sound to an event and it worked fantastic. I would assume that this will work for everything then?
Also, is there anyway to change a persons nickname ( I use it as their first name) , as I spelled it wrong, and it will still assign stats from previous tournaments to the edited player? I guess what I am asking is if you edit a player, will the program recognize that and still have the correct stats from saved games?

Yes. Each player in your database has an internal, unique identifier. Changing their nickname, first name, and/or last name will have no effect on stats, other than the player's name will be different.
-
Maybe not as traditional a "poker sound" as the others, but I have been using yesyes.wav (just google it). It is from the orgasm scene in "When Harry Met Sally", and is always good for a laugh.
Comments include:
"I haven't heard that four times in one night in a while"
and
"That sounds like my wife" -- "I think you're right . . . It does sound like your wife."
-
This is the one I've been using for knockouts along with the na na na hey hey one
-
Here a few more decent sounds. Enjoy :P
-
A good one (IMHO) would be one of the lines from "Dumb and Dumber" where Lloyd tells Harry, "You are on pathetic loser" for bust-outs.
-
That is already posted...the post before your post, actually! ::)

How about something that says, "welcome to the final table" or "here we are at the final table"? Someone have something for that?
-
Where do you find these .wav files?
And is there some type of program you have to use to convert sounds to .wav ??
Thanks for all the sound byte contributions
Dan
-
Had added a few more to my collection..Sorry if these are repeats or posted earlier, tried to screen but may have missed some, and a Homer rendition of "I am the Champion" for the winner is always pretty obnoxious.

Thanks to everyone who posted the audio clips. I will add them into my layout. I never realized how much fun they would add to a tournament. Thanks again.

Here are some clips from Tombstone, second greatest movie ever! Anybody have this clip from Tombstone?
"Maybe poker's not your game, Ike. I know, let's have a spelling Contest!"
I can't seem to find it.

Hi all,
I'm looking for the countown clockwav (Channel 4) and i can't find it anywhere :(!!!
Can anyone help me?
Cheers
Alex
-
Could you be more specific? I don't know what a countdown clock channel 4 is.
-
Sorry mate - it is a Channel 4 Gameshow that has a very catchy tune for the clock on each game!
The clock counts down for 30 seconds per round.
Cheers
-
Is the name of the gameshow Channel 4 Gameshow or is it just on channel 4, because your channel 4 might be a different channel for someone else... :o
Travis
-
No, he means a program called "COUNTDOWN" on channel 4 in the UK.
See http://www.thecountdownpage.com/cdlinks.htm for some sounds
-
I have used the "shuffle up and deal" from 'Doyle's Room Poker' for my tournament start sound and us some sounds from Rocky and Bullwinkle for some of the others.
I got the Bullwinkle sounds from here: http://bullwinkle.toonzone.net/sounds.

HELLO,
I'm relatively new to hosting tournaments. Using TTD for my tournaments is by far my BEST decision. Just recently I really dove into this wonderful software.
We've all played in tournaments at local casinos and card rooms. My local casino (Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez) is where I play tournaments. They use a software similar to . . . or maybe it IS the TTD. But the announcements are robotic because they use a text to speech software that probably reads their blind schedule.
For MY tournaments, I didn't want the same robotic sounding woman. I happened to own a recording studio and I'm a producer. . . so I recorded sounds for MY tournament. Eventually I intend to release and sell sounds for poker tournaments on CD or downloads. I'm looking for shareware WAV file editor that I can include with the sounds.
Since the total file size is 1024 KB per post, I've compressed the sound files to mp3 at FM radio quality to post here. Of course, the files that end up on the release would be full band 16-bit WAV format.
ITS ALL STILL WORK IN PROGRESS. I'm working on it when I can find time. The testing ground is my tournaments. I just finished a set for my tournament.
Introducing Tara. She is the voice on the following samples. She is one of the singers that record at my studio and she has a very generic female speaking voice that is pleasant.
Here are some samples of what a sound bite is like when its professionally produced. I will post some usable samples I created for my tournament. If you have an mp3 file editor, you are in luck. most of the samples includes the clean version of the WSOP guitar tag with enough silence for you to edit out and create your own.
Three of the files are very particular to my tournament, although, you might be able to edit them to use in your tournament.
On the following posts includes Table Balance announcement (T_BAL TBL.mp3), one minute warning to end of round (T_BL_WN60.mp3), 5 minute warning during a break (T_BK_WN5M.mp3), and 1 minute warning during a break (T_BK_WN1M.mp3). Hope you can use these. They are generic.
These files are not for sale and can not be sold because they include the WSOP sound I recorded from the ESPN broadcast, which are copyrighted and I do not have a license for distribution. The final release version would include the "guitar tag" that was re-recorded in my studio. No performance royalties, only mechanical royalties for the composer.
IN MY TOURNAMENT, the TOURNEY DETAIL sound plays every 5 minutes during pre-tournament countdown. The COUNTDOWN 3M plays when the clock reaches 3 minutes. I also have one for the start of the tournament that starts playing at 10 seconds that announces the starting blinds and the mandatory "shuffle up and deal" by Tara. My tournament has an add-on during the first break. The BREAK ADDON sound plays when the first break starts. Of course every start of a new round announces the blinds and ante.
Check them out ! I'll let you know in a few month when I have a release ready. Of course if Cory would like to work out an arrangement to make it a part of TTD . . . I'm open for that !
Thanks
-
Here are the rest of the sounds. ENJOY !
-
I'm sure there are others, but here is a free (open source) sound editor:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net
-
Does anyone have a wav file for a voice saying clock is paused & game is resumed.....if you know what i mean
thx
-
Jedi:
Great job on the Sound files. Adds a touch of class and professionalism to the event. I think I will borrow the idea for table balancing, thank you.
-
Thanks Bixby,
I have decided to offer a complete set of sounds with all necessary parts to edit each sound bites with numerical values to anything you'd like it to be, FOR FREE!! I'll include an e-mail address in the manual for donations if you really like it. Sound file editing is rather tedious but well worth the effort. I will write a pdf user manual for the sound files and the included Ready to go tournaments. I'll make it all downloads here in the Forum as zip files. All sound files will be mp3 format.
Trying to sell sounds for TTD on CD is too much hassel in shipping for very little profit per unit. Of course its for personal use only. I'll sell licenses for commercial use.
I will also offer a Ready-To-Go Hold Em tournament for the most common and practical blind structure. It will be a tournament for up to 20 players that lasts about 4 to 4-1/2 hours. This will be a tournament in SIMPLE MODE and it should be good for people new to TTD and a good starting point to edit for the experienced users.
I should have it ready in a month or so, maybe mid November. A combination of sounds you are already using and the new ones I'll be offereing should improve your TTD.
When its all done, I'll create a new thread for it. I'll ask Corey and anyone else to do a review. If the reviews are favorable, maybe it can be a sticky.
Keep an eye out for it in November.
I do have one question. Does anyone know how to do a screen capture of TTD dialog boxes in a format thats compatible to insert them into a MS Word or Word Perfect?
Jedi Master ;D ;D
-
The Printscreen button will do a screen capture and place it on the system clipboard (which you can then insert into a paint program or Word, etc). Holding Alt while pressing Printscreen will capture only the currently in-focus window (or dialog box, etc).
-
Thanks Corey.
I'll give that "print screen" trick a try.
;D
-
Was thinking last night, the countdown timer from 24 would be a good blinds going up timer, anyone able to pull that up from anywhere?
-
Hello folks,
Here are few "previews" of sound bites that will be included in the "Ready to Go" Tournament that I am working on.
These are PLAYER RE-BUY event sounds with comments . . . and a couple of Hot Key event sounds.
A player having to re-buy usually means he just lost a big pot and is a little hot under the collar . . . when a comment is made about his play from a computer . . . one of the come back from a player is "shut up bitch !!". The hot key events are the come back you can trigger as if the computer is responding to the comment made by the player.
Files including the "RTG_PL_RBC_nnn" are the Player Re-Buy event sounds. Files including "RTG_HK_COM_nnn" are the Hot Key event sounds for a come back if the player makes a comment at the computer.
Enjoy
-
those are good dude... I'm scoopin em... did you say you are created a whole sound event theme? That would be awesome... I'll be looking out for them
-
Hello folks,
Here is a set of sounds for HAND TIMER events . . . Jeopardy timer tune.
Create an event to start at 59 seconds left on the hand timer using the Jeopardy tune.
Create an event to play the Clock Tick at 40 sec., 30 sec and 20 sec. left
Create an event to play starting at 16 seconds left using the same Jeopardy tune.
And finally, create an event using the Buzzer sound when the hand timer reaches zero.
enjoy !!

HERE ARE SOME BLIND FILES. PLEAEE READ THE README. THE REST OF THE SOUND FILES ARE ON THE POST BELOW

Ok . . .
These sound files, at the bottom, is a special request from Quake.
THE READY-TO-GO TOURNAMENT (RTG) is almost ready !! I've had a busy 4 weeks with my day job. Between the day job and running my studio in the evenings has left me very little time to work on the RTG. Cory has reviewed it and gave me the thumbs up. He can not "officially" back it up because it contains copyrighted sounds and images . . . though most are "public domain".
I am currently working with him to figure out the easiest delivery method. When its done, it should be "one click INSTALL". . . the same way you installed the TTD.
The RTG should greatly enhance the TTD experience for the new users . . . and, it should serve as a great template to start with for all you tweakers of all levels. Included will be all the necessary sound bites to edit all numerical values so you can customize your game (hold-em, omaha, 7 stud, hi-low etc.) and Buy-In amounts, Re-Buy, Amounts, binds etc.
The RTG will come with an extensive pdf. manual (that I wrote and reviewed by Corey) to make using the RTG as easy as possible.
I will start a new thread to download the RTG and a thread for your reviews of the RTG. I am also planning to create one that does not include any copyrighted material so that Corey can offer an "official" version . . . which will be slightly less humorous.
LOOK FOR IT IN A WEEK OR TWO !

Jedi master,
I really like the samples of the sounds you posted, are the complete set ready? Or does anyone know or have it?

Here's a sound file I use for the 1 minutes warning during a break.

Thought of a good one for the "end of tournament sound" has anyone got this sound clip of Teddy KGB from Rounders?
"He beat me... Straight up... Pay him... Pay that man his money"
BTW, thanks to everyone who has uploaded sounds to this thread, I've found a lot of great ones here for my home game...

What ever happened to the READY-TO-GO TOURNAMENT? Did a search and can not find it. Jedi Master said it would be ready in Nov of last year.
Love the sound files. Thanks!

You can use this website to create spoken wav files. However, they may sound a bit robotic.
http://public.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php
Moose, this website works perfectly for what i want to do! One of the male and one of the female voices sound far less "robotic" than the others.
Can't wait for my next tournament to unveil the sound files that i have created. The one i came up with for the start of the tournament goes something like this: "welcome to four aces poker's main event...the tournament of champions. good luck to everyone...let's shuffle up and deal" It was about midnight last night when i came up with that and it tested out perfectly. also, i created sound files for every blind level that i use, and just use whichever sound files match what blind level i use. Still have a little more work to do, thankfully i have 4 weeks to get it perfect. also, i used the event "level end" and inserted my blinds levels and even a sound bite that says "Break time" when breaks come into play. also, i use 10 or 12 minute breaks, and after the voice announces break time, then i have music that kicks in all the way down to the very last second, so that not one second is "dead air" during a break. I like using "Sin City" and "Girls got Rhythm" by AC/DC and also "Take on Me" by A-Ha. It works perfectly. I would suggest that website for anyone looking to personalize their tournaments. I am also thinking about using sound bites using a player's name when they bust out using hotkeys. "Joe Blow has been eliminated". Of course, this is simplified due to the fact i usually have at around 9 to 12 players a month. It's all family and close friends, and i think it adds a little something extra into the mix.

I am looking for some sound files that I can put into my tournament.
I'm hoping to find a person's voice saying "one minute remaining" or something to that effect.
Can anyone help me out?
i found a site that you can type anything you want and it will say it out loudhttp://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php

i found a site where you type in what you want to hear and they say it.it not mike sexton or doyle brunson, but you can save them as wav files and use them on TD.
so now you can"shuffle up and deal"

let me know if you like it

Any one have some of Phil Hellmuth's wonderful whine bites from this past year's WSOP? Some of them would make great exit sounds...

I now have a large collection of sounds files, my tourneys start with the wsop theme then "one minute to next level" then a spoken version of the new blind level, along wihth break announcement and tournament resuming - please return to seats, I also have clipits for bust outs such as eminem, the sound of music (so long, farewell), time to say goodbye (Andrea Boceleli) Another One Bites the dust (queen), simpsons clips and other bust out tunes. If you would like anything from me let me know by e-mail and I can provide you with them. I have also replaced the three audible beeps with the WSOP bango at t-5s, it all sounds pretty cool and adds quite a professional feel too my tournaments. i currently have the following blinds (small) 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 10,000, 15,000, 25,000, 50,000, 75,000, 100k, 150k, 200k, 300k, and upto 10million I can also provide the template for the events.

Many thanks for the sounds Stuart.

I created all of my sound files using the at&t text to speech. some words sound a bit off, but for me it works. Here are some examples:
"There is one minutes left in the round. Repeat. One minute left in the round."
"You have finished in sixth place. Five players now remain. Thank you for playing here at Four Aces Poker."
"The blinds have gone up. They are now 1000 and 2000. repeat. The blinds have gone up. they are now 1000 and 2000."
"Level change. the ante goes to 50. the bring in goes to 100. the limits are now 200 and 400. Level change. the ante goes to 50. the bring in goes to 100. the limits are now 200 and 400." (This one for 7 card stud - fixed limit).
I also use one at the start of a tournament. Something like this:
"Welcome to Four Aces Poker event number 5. No Limit Hold'em. Each player begins with 10000 in chips. The 50 point bounty is on (player's name). The blinds will begin at 50 and 100. Good luck to everyone. Let's shuffle up and deal."
Also, during the countdown of the upcoming championship tournaments, I use the countdown event to trigger music files. 2 hours countdown starting at 7199 seconds, the 2nd song begins at the time the first one ends, all the way to zero seconds or as close as possible. Get the first song, say 3 minute song = 180 sec. first event starts at 180. second song starts # of seconds of song after previous song. it takes some effort and some math, but I have done it a few times.
If anyone is interested in some blinds files you can check out at&t text to speech or email me and i can send you a sampling. fouracespoker@yahoo.com

Guys, it´s been a while since I went through all these posts.
I have a few "rock sounds" mainly to be used when busting out someone, how can I upload them here?
Also, I am looking for a "hospital dead heartbeat monitor sound", something like bep bep bep.........beeeeeeppppp if you know what I mean.
Keep posting !!!!!

hi, I found a new place to search for sounds... SoundBoard (http://www.soundboard.com/index.aspx)
For example, here is what they have for Rounders sound clips: Click here (http://soundboard.com/sb/Rounders_Movie_clips.aspx)
so the soundboard is on the right hand side of page, but in the middle of the page you have a bunch of options on downloading... it took me a few minutes to see it so thought I'd point it out
I also kinda found the heart beating flatline sound, but you might have to take two files and splice them togather to get the sound you are looking for
-
Hey Tim, Do you think I could get the Hockey Air Horn...Thanks :)
-
Thanks Stuart!!!
I received the emails with the files. That is a great collection of sound bites for TD. Much appreciated.
Cheers mate,
Matt
-
Thanks Stuart!!!
I received the eight emails with the files. A SUPERB collection of TD sound events.
Thanks so much,
Miguel

Okay so I contacted Stanley Group and London Clubs and both were quite happy to inform me that the software used is CardRoom MAGIC, by a company in England. Can anyone get a hold of the sound files from this software? Mabey someone knows someone who works in a cardroom that works for any of the UK Casinos (Grosvenor, Gala, LCI, Genting etc) that could copy the sound files of the cardroom computer?

Not too sure, but odds are, the sounds for that program are most likely copyrighted along with the program itself, much like TD with Corey. I'm sure, though, that if you were to contact the company and explain what you're looking to do, they may work with you some, but I wouldn't bank on it.

I understand what your saying but if you change the pitch/tone slightly there is not much they can do
anyway the chances are we wont get the files so no hopes
unless i can get my hands on the actual program its self witch I dought

Fubu,
In Glasgow it is used by LCI at Alea, and by Genting at Mint. So if you know anyone at those cardrooms see what you can do!
Contacted CardroomMAGIC and after several contacts I gave up - this person said contact this person, that person never answered and person c was on holiday etc etc.
I will try again this week to speak to them. If they come away with a decent price for a personal licence it would be worthwhile buying the software. If they come away with a decent price on the announcements they would have a deal also!
Regards
Stuart

Stuart - Unfortunately I don't know anyone at either location.... The fun and joys of being in the midwest of the States.... LOL
Robert - you are right in that if you change the sounds, there won't be much they can do... From how it sounded to me (and perhaps I interpreted what you said wrong), you wanted to use the sounds as they were. And where there's a will, there is a way - Not sure what all I can do to help get the files you're looking for but I can see if I can do anything.
-
apologies I meant to address that to Robert!

I will see what I can do my dad plays in the mint regular so I think he might be able to do something he is friendly with the staff so crossed fingers lol
I also contacted card room magic so see what they say tomorrow or when ever they reply
-
Well Got A Price From Card Room Magic
And Hardware is £4500
and you rent the software for £300 per calender month
-
ha ha - thats crazy!
Mind you I think Corey is heavily underpriced for what he has now. Thats why I intend on buying a new licence on a regular basis!
I've already got two and have been using the software for about 14 months. Or I might think about going for a commercial licence as I probably am stretching the personal licence(s) now anyway.

Stuart

but he did say he will or can get me a go of the program in any casino that is using it so i can see what its like lol wonder if they would leave me alone for half an hour with the system lol
-
Leave you alone for half an hour with a flash drive perhaps!
Stu
-

You can try these

And more.
I will let you figure out how to use them.
Took me ages

This events template MAY help.
You just need to change the file locations.
Of course it will have to tie in with the rounds so there is a rounds template as well.
Have a play and enjoy

Here's a selection of the sound files I have set-up on my computer the file names are pretty self explanitory:
http://www.4shared.com/file/243416537/7fa9ac00/graham_break_in_60secs_for_10m.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/243416715/a0157bc0/150-300.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/243417042/fef56bc6/graham_-_blinds_up_in_2_mins.html
Please note it's a free file share website so you have to wait 10 seconds before it lets you download any of them!
If you want to download the full works with all the bust out sounds, announcements and events this is the one you need:
http://www.4shared.com/file/243910373/81d09dad/TD_Sounds_Compressed.html
It's a compressed file of 46mb so make sure your broadband is feeling healthy!

Hi all, here are a few sounds, mainly for bust-outs:
-
enjoy
-
Hi all, I have been using this program for a long time and me and my league LOVE IT.
I make all of my own sound files using "sound recorder" included in windows. I just record what I want using a mic and save it as a .wav file.
It is very easy and allows me customize my game sounds anyway I want it.
Hope this helps someone out there.
DrWay
Here are just a few examples I have made.
-
Here a few more decent sounds. Enjoy :P
Hi please tell me how to sound the beginning of the tournament after the countdown? thanks Luca
-

Does anyone have the sound file for the "Money money money" like either Donald Trump uses or Ted DiBiase from the WWF uses? I'd like to add it to my collection for when we hit the money :)

Ok... I've got another I've been looking all over for... Remember Press Your Luck from the early 90s, the Whammy buzzer and the audio that would play afterwards? Haven't been able to find any myself...
And Thanks, Timmer, however delayed it may be, for the assist on my prior one :)
-
not sure if this is the one your looking for. edit....heres a somewhat funny one
-
I have plenty of audio clips on my web site, and theme music too. Check it out and keep whatever you need/want. www.jodystacey.com

The "Loser" from ace ventura for the first bust could be hilarious
