Beta Testing / Obscure Buy-In Error (2.6.b2)
« on: September 14, 2010, 04:07:18 PM »
Was curious and was testing some things out on TD after changing some preferences. I created a new player for the database, "test player", off of the main screen w/clock. I then went to the tables tab, sat the player down (having checked the box to allow seating of players who have not bought in), and noticed the player was italicized, due to no official buy in. I then right clicked on the player, selected buy in, and got the following error:

Beta Testing / 2.6.b2 Database Issue
« on: September 08, 2010, 11:29:26 AM »
Hi Corey!

Experiencing another issue with the database, kinda similar to what I was experiencing with the deletion of players when viewing all on one page.  Curiosity got this cat, and I changed the preference so it would show it page by page, and ran into the issue that b2 doesn't want to switch pages. I clicked on the arrow to goto the next page and it stayed on the first screen. Clicked on the check box to manually switch the page, and still nothing.

Beta Testing / 2.6.b2 Final Table Attribute on Stats Tab
« on: August 18, 2010, 11:02:23 AM »
Per request from some league members, I'm looking to implement the "Final Tables" attribute in addition to the other stats that I show for the league. The issue? It's not showing everyone correctly.  Attached is pic to show what I'm talking about. Arrows point to the first two discrepancies, but I'm sure that as you look down and see totals for 1st - 3rd, that they will add up to be more than some of the Final Tables (which is set at 10 players)

Help Me / Post Tournament Adjustment
« on: August 11, 2010, 12:19:48 PM »
After last night's tournament, I had a player tell me that he thought his points were not correct. Upon consulting a few other players, it was determined that the other Director flip flopped points for two people. I unmerged the two players and the remerged them with the correct players, but in refreshing the stats, I do not see the points updating to reflect it. Is there something I'm doing wrong? If need be, I can provide you the guest account for the boards (http://cliffhangerspoker.proboards.com) so that you can view the points as they were before last night, as well as showing what they are after the edit to the tournament.

After clicking on OK, the player still showed, but I could not click on the player. After going to a different tab, and then back to database, it did a refresh (of sorts) and updated to show the player no longer there. It allows me to right click and shows the contextual menu up until I switch tabs and switch back to it.

Beta Testing / 2.6.b2 Add Players Screen
« on: August 05, 2010, 02:11:16 PM »
When going to load in a tournemant from the other person who runs the league with me, The "Add Players" dialogue box changed from what I'm used to it showing. Have run other tournaments using this version, but this is the first time it's done this. Instead of showing first name and last name (John Doe), It now shows first name last initial (John D). Did a quick search for the issue on here, no results, looking in the help of the program, it shows help for the players tab only, not the dialogue box (unless I'm blind and missed it.)

Beta Testing / 2.6.b2 Background pic
« on: August 04, 2010, 02:40:10 PM »
Corey, I did a mock tourney to test out some aspects of the background picture and schemes I've been toying with last couple of weeks, and I noticed that once the game is over, the background picture goes from mostly filled (with some tiling present), to a full screen/stretch position. Not sure if I'm the only one to get this, but in case it is a bug/issue, I wanted to bring it to your attention.

The stretch feature seems to not be working. Attached is two pictures to show what I've done to try to get it to stretch.

Help Me / Using Pictures Stored Locally on Computer for layout
« on: July 24, 2010, 12:43:30 AM »
I'm thinking about having TD use some pictures that I have stored on my laptop for a background instead of the default blue/green pattern.  Although I believe it is possible, I'm not 100% sure if it is.  Also, if I do go that route, I know I would have to go to an x,y figure to display what I want to be displayed, which I believe I can figure out. Would it be possible to say, use 3 or 4 different pictures, with condition being a certain blind level?

Help Me / New Event/Sound Help needed
« on: July 21, 2010, 10:02:46 PM »
I've got some sounds that I've found for busting out players (Thanks to the looking for sound files from the layouts, sounds, etc board).  However, there's one I'm looking to use for our bubble to the final table.  I don't have any prizes configured, as I use a formula to award the top ten with points (no buy in, so no prizes to give out). Would I be able to use the event "a player busts on the bubble", or do I create an additional "a player busts out" with the condition of busts out in 11th place?  And if I need to make it be where I add the condition, how do I properly do that?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Help Me / Another Merge/Unmerge question
« on: July 21, 2010, 10:33:08 AM »
Using 2.6.b2, I loaded a tournament where it was not initially run on TD.  Due to this, some people did not announce when they had scored a hit, and some people did not "sign in" for a week due to their thinking they would only show the one time. Due to this, I created a player titled "unclaimed" to make up for any points that were, obviously, unclaimed. I had a player report that they didn't think that their points were right, and we mutually agreed that since the 10th place for week three.  That would take out the unclaimed player, but in looking in the help (10.14 Un-merging a player), it makes me believe that if I do that, every tournament would then be effected by the unmerge/re-merge. Is that the case, or is it on a tournament by tournament basis?

Beta Testing / 2.6.b2 Blind Schedule Screen
« on: July 20, 2010, 12:16:08 PM »
Not sure if this question should go here or in the "Help Me" forum...

Is there a way to modify what shows in the Blind Schedule Screen? For my game, I only need the Level, Duration, as well as the small & big blinds.

Beta Testing / b2 Non-Important Issue
« on: July 20, 2010, 11:52:46 AM »
Hey Corey, just wanted to let you know that when I added people to a tournament, having auto-seat enabled, but no actual tables set up, it gives the usual error, but asks you to click "OK" or "Cancel", but the boxes show "Yes" or "No".  Not a big issue, but something I'm sure you'd like to know & fix

Help Me / Table icon help
« on: July 19, 2010, 04:09:59 PM »
I'm looking in the layout forum for some table designs to use when i hit <F4>, but when I go to preferences -> Config Files and enter in the path to the table image I want to use, it still shows up with the basic columnar layout, instead of a racetrack layout like I'm looking for...  ??? ??? What am I doing wrong?

Help Me / Merge Question
« on: July 16, 2010, 09:51:54 PM »
I looked in the help tab for merging players, but I'm under the understanding that that situation is for if you enter a non-DB player and you have a DB player already...  What I have is two DB players when it should really be one.  Both have played in tournaments during the season, but not at the same time.  What would be the proper way to merge the two?
