Title: Registry Error
Post by: AdamK on September 17, 2010, 12:03:10 PM
Been running TD fine for quite a while. Today I got the following whn I started it up??

"Cannot export keyExport.reg: Error opening the file. There may be a disk or file system error."

Anyone ever see this one??

Computer seems to be fine. Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks!

I've personally not run into it... But I can try to offer some assistance....... Are you able to find the exact path in the registry for that error?

If you don't know how to open it, click the start menu icon, and type in regedit and that will open it up.  I will do the same on my end to see what I can find out. If you do find it, what does it say on yours?

I have never seen it, either.  And that error message isn't coming from the TD.  Luckily there might be a workaround.

Right-click on the shortcut you use to start the TD and select Properties.  A properties dialog should open.  Select the "Shortcut" tab.  In the "Target:" input should be something similar to this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\The Tournament Director 2\TD.exe"

Add " -tdnoexport" on to the end of it, so it looks like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\The Tournament Director 2\TD.exe" -tdnoexport

Press OK on the dialog.  Then try to start the TD again.
