Title: Websites
Post by: Magic_fubu on February 23, 2010, 12:04:46 PM
I was wondering if anyone knows any good websites to go to where I could do the following, hopefully at minimal or no cost:

- Allow players to register for tourneys, so as to pre-reg & guarantee seating.
- Allow me to upload stats, and players to see their stats
- Allow me to email the players newsletters

Right now I'm taking care of my league announcements via my personal facebook account, but would like to try to find something better.

Not sure if it's any good, but a forum is a good way

http://www.aceboard.net/   (it's free)

You can easily post your stats off TD, all players could register for game as you put them up.

I use a web site and forum.

Might work or something similar.

It looks like it's just a forum board, kind of like what these boards are here for this forum.

While I might be interested in doing something like that in the future, it won't suit my needs for now, and it won't take my registration info, so I'm kind of turned off by that site now.

This looks more like what I'm looking for... going to take some time to tinker with it and see how it suits my needs.  Thanks for the site!

I have been using three services to accomplish those tasks, as I have not found a single service that does it all well.

I use MyPunchBowl (http://www.mypunchbowl.com) for invitations and RSVPing, but used Evite (http://www.evite.com) in the past.

I use StatsGenie (http://www.statsgenie.com) for hosting tournament data.  This is my fifth year of doing so, and it has been great.

I use Google Groups (http://groups.google.com) to send out my communications to members.
