Title: Basic Formula

Hi guys and girls !

This is probably a basic question for you - i am after some help with a formula for TTD as follows :-

I run a home game with 8 - 11 players and i want the results to look like this :-

- Points for playing = number of buyins
- Top 3 are awarded extra points - 1st = 3 bonus points, 2nd = 2 bonus points and 3rd = 1 bonus point

Any help would be appreciated !!!!

I think i found the solution ... buyins + switch)r, 1,3,2,2,1,1)

That should work.  Or:

buyins + max(0, 4 - r).
