2.6.b3 Seating Issue
« on: September 21, 2010, 12:08:38 PM »
I'm sure I'm probably the only one one with this issue, since it only started after adding the pre-start clock to the layout... But ever since, I can add players, buy-in said players, but cannot seat them. A message under the players initially stated to set preferences to allow seating of players who have not bought in, so I did (even though auto buy-in was checked and confirmed). Whether or not I press Seat Players from tables tab, or I go to manually seat, I still am not allowed to seat, getting the following error:
Code: [Select]
'theT.Tables.LastPlayerMove' is null or not an object (TablesTab, TournamentPage: 5061)

As with the hand timer, I can only reproduce it a few times. In this instance, I had quit out and restarted TD and the issue seems to have gone away. Also, should I continue to get the error, I'll reply here

I've actually seen this one, once, maybe twice, but was never able to reproduce it.  Having a plethora of tournament files to work with, from various versions, in different states, and some broken intentionally, I figured it might have just been a bad tournament file.

I can see how to avoid the error, but without knowing what the real problem is I can't say what the consequences will be if I make the change.  I'd really like to figure it out.  If you run into this issue...

ah-ha.  I just reproduced it.  I think it has something to do with saving a tables template.

That's it.  Saving a tables template trashed the list of players who moved in the last player movement suggestion that was confirmed.  Fixed for the next release.  Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Guess it goes to show what a little playing around with the program will do!  LOL

Anyhow, thanks for the hard work you put in to this - everyone loves it at the league - even had a few people ask for the site because they were happy with how intricate it is. With both this and the hand timer, not 100% sure how I got either error to occur, but so far I cannot reproduce it.
