Help Me / IE7
« on: December 05, 2006, 10:52:34 AM »
Corey,

Do you plan to support IE 7 sometime in the near future? My wife was using my laptop last night and since windows is now sending messages to update windows, she installed IE 7. I haven't tested whether or not TD 2.2.2 works but have read other posts of issues regarding IE 7.

Absolutely love the program but hopefully our mess up won't effect it.

Thanks!
Tim

Suggestions / Small Non issue bug...
« on: October 23, 2006, 10:48:39 AM »
Corey,

After upgrading to version 2.2.2, we ran a league tourney yesterday and came across a message that you may want to see. I liked using the unavailable feature because of the scenario that we have set up.

We had 23 people, so there were three table set up.

Table 1 had 9 seats with 9th seat set to unavailable (final table)
Table 2 had 8 seats
Table 3 had 8 seats with 8th seat set to unavailable

Once we lost a player from Table 2, I manually moved everyone up one spot until the 8th seat was open and set it to unavailable. This way we didn't break down to two tables until there were 15 players, because 8 players at table 2 was a little tight so we only wanted 7 after people began to fall.

Once we get to the final 9 players, I make the 9th seat at Table one available to create 9 at the final table.

When the tables were at 5, 6, & 6 players the suggest movement highlighted meaning that the tables may be unbalanced. I'm not sure if the image will appear in this post so I am attaching it too.

This seems to be a very small issue but everthing else worked great as usual. Keep up the great work Corey and let me know if something I did was wrong or you need more information of how I got too this message.

Thanks in advance,

Suggestions / Seating Suggestion
« on: October 19, 2006, 08:10:45 AM »
Corey,

I have just upgraded from 2.0 to 2.2 and really like some of the visual enhancements (initializing screen, small TD spade logos, etc).

The only thing I came across so far is when I make a seat unavailable and save the tables template, the next time I load this template, the unavailable seat is marked available. I have 24 players in my league and have three tables set up with 9, 8, & 8 players making the 9th seat unavailable. This feature has made it easier because I don't want to combine tables when their are 17 players still left but once the final 9 are left, I would just make the seat available again to create the final table. Could this be added to the list to be able to save a template and keep the unavailable seats as marked the next time you load your saved template?

I am about to use the new version on a bigger tourney this coming weekend (50 people). Has there been any bugs mentioned or any do's and don'ts for version 2.2?

Thanks and keep up the great work.

Tim

Help Me / Upgrade from 2.0 to 2.2
« on: October 12, 2006, 02:01:57 PM »
Corey,

This week will be the last week for my 10 week league and I would like to upgrade to version 2.2.

Will I still be able to load the older tournaments and use the stats page for the previous version after the upgrade? All of the templates have been renamed, so I don't think these will be changed. Will the players in my database be the same? I have read in the forum there is an identifier that the users don't see and I don't want to mess any of that up, so how do I make sure they stay the same?

This software is the best but I'm always a little worried to upgrade because everything is working perfect as is. Having you in charge though, I shouldn't be scared one bit. I know you will do everything you can to get it back up and running. Great job Corey!!

Thanks for everything,
Tim

Help Me / Place awarded question
« on: September 18, 2006, 11:12:36 AM »
What happens when one player takes out more than one person, how does TD determine who gets what place? We are currently knocking one person out at a time when this happens and the person with the most chips gets the higher position.

Thanks,
Tim
