« on: November 24, 2006, 12:32:57 PM »
Cheers Brenner

I understand most of it, but must the player call the all in or can he fold ?.
in other words if he calls a bet out of turn must he still play the bet of call, all in or raise ?.

Cheers for the help.

Help Me / Help with rules
« on: November 24, 2006, 09:39:22 AM »
Hi guys

I need help again with the rules.

Whats the rule when a player plays out of turn ?

ie, He says "call" then someone says "not your turn", then the person who's turn it is goes all in, must the player then call
that all in ?.
Or is it played out of turn, wait and decide what to do when its your turn.

I need to make a rule for us on this. cos when this happens there is a bit of arguing.

Help Me / Re: Tournament Point Suggestions
« on: November 23, 2006, 04:12:41 PM »
I only run 1 table at a time so my points structure is easy as you can see on my web page.
We had a meeting before we started and it was a massive vote to minus points for re-buys.
Having run a few games now, I think we will restructure the system next year and bring in
some of the ideas that we have got on this site, like points for playing and points for hitmen.

there is some good stuff on here, and a lot of people willing to help.
TD must be the best.

After looking at some of your sites, I think I should remove mine.
Some cracking sites, what did my headmaster use to say "I must try harder", I think he was right.
Anyways keep up the good work.
Any updated sites let us know, its nice to see whats going on.

I just use my free space supplied by my server, plenty room, easy to do.
TD makes it simple to keep results up to date.

Help Me / Betting structure
« on: November 11, 2006, 01:52:17 AM »
Hi Guys

This might seem a silly question to you lot, but I need to sort this out and need help.
In no limit Texas Hold'em what is the betting structure.
We are confused about the amount a person can raise, if the blinds are 500 and 1000 can a player raise to 1200 (a raise of 200)
or must he raise 1000 so his bet is 2000.
I have searched the net and mostly found on line poker sites who seem to differ on this.
It might be that the rules for that table is what can be played.
If any body knows the official rules I would be very greatfull.
This is probably one of the only things TD does not do for you, What a fantastic program this is.

Suggestions / Re: Seating people at different tables
« on: November 09, 2006, 11:30:27 AM »
I have read with interest the posts here, We only run 10 people games.
So as a outsider to your size of tournaments I can not understand why people should be
kept away from other people if spouse or not.
The idea of any tournament is to seat people at random thus no favoritism.
We all have players we would rather not see on our table, might be because they are top players or just always seem to have bad
luck against them.
Just my why of thinking, if I was to attend a tournament and it was handicapped, that is what your doing
when keeping people apart, I would go mad.
Say if there were 2 or 3 top players attending, that would mean that the odds of 1 or more of them being on my table was less than it
should be, therefor I could say I wanted to be kept away from the top player.
Also keeping them apart for as long as possible also gives them the greater chance of winning more
prize money into their household.
I don't want any arguments, this is just how I see it.

General Discussion / Re: Rebuy's
« on: October 29, 2006, 10:34:27 AM »
Both tournaments, with re-buys and without re-buys are great to play in. and yes players play differently, depending on re-buys.
The main reason we use them is to keep people in.
Our buy in fee is small and the re-buys are small, the main thing is that people enjoy a good night of poker and a few beers, sometimes people
can't afford to re-buy, thats fine, but people entering know exactly the most they can lose.
We don't want people busted out in the first hour or two, everybody knows you can get drawn into big pots and end up all in and lose.
All the players like the structure we use, after the main tournament we have 1 or 2 turbo's with a small entry fee and no re-buys or add ons,
they like these as well.
I think if you are playing in tournaments to win money then no re-buys or add ons is the best but if you are
playing for the fun of playing, with little cost but still having the chance of winning some money then re-buys are the best.
Also there is a few people that attend our tournaments that are new to the game, so re-buys gives them a better chance.

Help Me / Re: All Tourneys dont load when doing stats
« on: September 29, 2006, 11:09:04 AM »
not sure if this will help.
I have just been messing about with stats, I run a league and just random games.
I thought I would see what the stats are for all the games.
It was showing some players as winning nothing, but I was sure that they had.
All the leagues were showing but not all the stats.
Then I noticed on my database of players, some of the players were only assigned to the league and other
players were only assigned to non league games.
You could try assigning players to every league thats shown.
Double click on player, edit leagues then check that player for all the leagues.
Worth a try.

Help Me / Re: Split Pot Knock Out...
« on: September 28, 2006, 10:54:52 AM »
I am new to all this, but I was watching a big tournament on TV.
They down to the final table when 2 players were busted out at the same time,
and the one who had the most chips at the beginning of that hand was placed above the other
and took the prize money for that place.

Please note I am pretty new to poker, but that is what I saw. So thats how we work it.

Help Me / Re: screen changing
« on: September 28, 2006, 12:14:26 AM »
Thanks for all that Corey.

I run a few test tournaments and everythink was perfect.
It sometimes seems that we are trying to find faults in TD and not appreciating
how good TD actually is, not to mention how good the after sales is.
So a BIG thanks to Corey and keep up the good work.

Help Me / Re: screen changing
« on: September 27, 2006, 12:03:08 PM »
Hi Corey

When I reset the tournament, then click on the tournament tab, the first screen I see is my main one, this is not locked
(no lock symbol).
I then pres key 2, this shows my pre tournament page with a closed lock symbol in the top right hand corner.
Same with key 3, this is the pro page this also has the lock symbol.
I have saved this away and re loaded it and these 2 screens are still locked.
I thought there might be somewere that you can swith on and off as default.

Thanks for looking into it for me, and I am sorry if it somethig that I am doing.
I am still learning, So I am still messing about finding a layout that I am realy happy with.
I have put a link on my sight to the TD home page.
I had to think about that for a long time, people are that impreesed with TD that once they download and start using it, I will
no longer be able to impress tham so much. lol.
Keep up the fantastic work. Our tournaments run like clock work now.

We have max 3 re-buys per person upto round 4
this is about halfway through tournament.
But we have a points system, and it is -5 pts per re-buy.

Check our rules out at
