Help Me / Re: Changing tourney info after the fact

Thanks for the offer - but no need. The timings being out isn't the end of the world, if it isn't easy to fix.

I don't know how this could be made to work, so I'll bow to your own thoughts on the matter, but it would look something like this:
There would be an "Invite" tab.  You click on it, and you get a list of players (maybe subset by leagues/season, dunno).
You select whichever players you want to send an invite out to. This invite can be freeform text ("game at my place on the 12th" etc etc
They each get an email which they can click on to take them to a webpage (can even use a Google Sheets doc for this), and they can choose "Yes, Probably, Maybe, No" or whatever.
The responses can be saved just like any other tourney stat.

The TD software could track the statuses of the invites and send reminders to everyone who hasn't responded a week before the game, or send confirmation that the game is going ahead when X people have said yes etc etc.

TBH the more I look at this the more I can understand why you'd want to leave it well alone.

Was this ever added? If so how would it be done? I'd like a "Fred has been busted out" voice event  already have the sound files in readiness lol).

Thanks for the response.   Is there a way to update just the tourney start time, once it's over?

On Friday a laptop running the tourney crashed (guess who had disabled autosave?) so when the laptop recovered, we had to start afresh (I just moved the levels to roughly where they were - luckily there had been no bustouts etc).

By the wa the crash was hardware-induced, not software.  I'm now using a fresh laptop.

I know this has been requested before, and your response was along the lines of "plenty of other software does it better" but Statsgenie is a buggy mess, homepokertour doesn't seem to exist, and I'm not aware of any others. It may not have been worth looking at before, but it might be now.

It's a big ask I realise, but it would make TD absolutely the best poker software out there, period. The player database already exists. The Tournament stats already exist. What's missing, I know, is some form of continuous, persistent tournament tracking, but if that could be nailed, this software would have literally everything anybody could need, right out of the box.

Eh it doesn't cost anything to dream :P

Yep that's pretty much perfect.  Thanks - again - for your continued efforts.

Help Me / Re: Can the inlinerankings token be updated?

Thanks as always for getting back to me quickly (you might not think so, but you did). There should be a button or link somewhere on this forum where people can buy you a coffee for your continued hard work.

For example, pre-tourney I have a couple of custom screens for chip breakdowns, prize pool etc. Whilst the game is in countdown, it would be cool if the mini-clock appeared on those screens as well as the standard built in ones (Player Rankings, Schedule, Seating List etc).

This isn't a biggie by any means - at the moment I get by by having countdown clock/start time cells and token on each of my screens, so if it isn't just something I've missed, don't worry about it.

Help Me / Re: buyinChips token shows 0 despite the profile saying 5000

"Congrats, you've found a bug.  :)"

I demand a full refund, 100% unplayable.

Seriously though thanks for taking the time to look into this. Still far and away the best poker tourney management software out there.

Help Me / buyinChips token shows 0 despite the profile saying 5000
« on: March 09, 2023, 09:39:40 AM »
Hi.   I use the buyinChips token within the Tournament Info cell, but it always returns 0 despite me entering a valid profile. To test it's validity, I buy in several players using that profile, and a) the players page shows the correct amount of chips and b) the total stacks token (think it's just called "Stacks" or "stack" also shows the right amount).   Any thoughts what I'm doing wrong?

Here's what it looks like:

<buyin> Buy-in, <rebuyinfo>, <addoninfo>, <bigBlind round="3"> Big Blinds, <buyinChips profileName="100 BB £15 5k chips"> chips

If I remove the profile stipulation, it shows the default profile amount, so it's not like it's completely off the mark...

Help Me / Can the inlinerankings token be updated?
« on: February 28, 2023, 10:46:36 AM »
On my post-game screen, I use the PRIZES token to show who's cashed, but beneath that - on a single separate line and in a smaller font - I'd like to show the rest of the players with their ordinal positions "3rd Danny    4th John" etc etc

If the INLINERANKINGS token had a MAXWINNINGS field, that would be easy - I could set MAXWINNINGS to 0 and just show the rank and the player - so is there another way of doing this?   The "best" workaround I can think of depends on setting the STARTAT value to whatever rank bubbles (in this case 3, but of course I don't know that until the game starts (So I'd potentially have to change this every game).

Help Me / Re: Disconnected versions on different hard drives
« on: February 26, 2023, 04:47:17 AM »
Yeah copying the .tdt files *did*work, but I couldn't see it.  Basically when I ran the refresh in the stats tab, it was picking up all the games (they showed as "included" in the info screen) but not showing them in the stats. I figured out it was something to do with the players.

So I probably did this the long way around, but I went into each individual game and clicked on each player and got the "this player is not in your database" warning. I added them (or merged them, whichever was appropriate), and then refreshed the stats tab and all the games appeared

PS I know there's an option to "merge players in current tournament into database" and to add them as well, from the side panel, but this didn't seem to work - this is likely because of my own bad organisation.

Ialao had to go into the database and find the player images and copy them in to the "new" database, and associate them with the players, but once again this was likely down to my own  chaotic approach to things lol.

Once again Corey, your help and speedy response is amazing. Really appreciate it.

Help Me / Disconnected versions on different hard drives
« on: February 24, 2023, 09:13:39 AM »
Hi.  I've used TD for years now, and what's happened is that when a Hard Drive has died, I've just installed on a new one and kept the old one just for data.  As a result, I now have two or more separate locations containing tournament data.

What's the best way to merge them together? I've tried simply copying the .tdt files from one to another so they're all in one place but that doesn't work - should I copy *all* folders and files?

Hi.  Firstly a massive thanks to Corey for his continued support.   Last night I ran a couple of games but afterwards realised I had failed to end the first game correctly. Like an idiot I saved over it with what I thought was correct, but I messed up the timings of who went out when.  Is there a way to correct this in a file somewhere? I'm thinking specifically of the "stats" tab.

OK so I've found the file, so I guess I just need a pointer re the time formatting lol...
