About time to release this puppy into the wild?

I am sure folks would love the additions :)

General Discussion / Re: TD vs another software
« on: February 26, 2008, 07:55:50 PM »
I have been using the TD since way back... most folks would not even recognize the version we started with.

I have run over 1500 Tournaments using the TD. It is easy to learn to operate, but has enough under the engine that I am still adding bells and whistles.

Thanks Corey!

Suggestions / Standalone Statistic Compiler
« on: February 26, 2008, 07:28:28 PM »
Any chance of releasing a Standalone Statistic Compiler?

It can take a long time to run some stats and you can do nothing in the TD while it is going on.

I think it would be a great addition.

(I am currently wanting to crunch 1442 tournaments.)

Corey, thanks for the table tab additions.

On the tables tab I was trying to make a seat which I had marked as unavailable.. available.

I got this message...

Corey, here is one... It happens when I try to use the "Display Message" buttonon the controls tab. WHen I hit ok after typing in the message it gives this error.

You must cancel to get out of it...

Thanks Corey, maybe it could be an option on right click of the tables...

As far as that error you could not create on table bust... I think it may come when you hit "don't move" or any of the bottom buttons... while the dialog still says "working...".

This error may be one of those things like going to the doctor and saying "Doc, my arm hurts when I do this." Doc says... "well don't do that." :)

I am running a tourney now and will try to re-create that one seating error at some point tonight :)

tandemrx: I just drag my extended screen over and don't use that button... sorry.

COREY, on an unrelated topic... can we add the bust-out button to the "tables" tab? I used to do some bust-outs from the seating chart, after small TD breaks.. I could easily see who was out and perform the action right then and there. It would add something in this new dual screen world, IMO.

Here is another error that is not new... TD suggests a table to bust up, I hit "don't move" and get this error..

Also as a side note... didn't this dialog used to allow us to go to the tables tab using a button on the bottom? Example of how I think it used to be... Move/Don't Move/Tables Tab/Cancel

I have so much confidence in the software I installed the update mid tournament... all is well.

I did get on error message... I was editing an "event" changing a value from 6 to 5 and when I hit ok it gave me this error.

'undefined' is null or not an object (EventsTab, TournamentPage: 1424)
 at removeCR(null)
 at getTextarea(String)
 at eventDialogValidateHandler(Dialog)
 at Dialog.prototype.validate()
 at openDialog(Dialog)

Some errors will let you hit ok eventually... this error forced me to hit cancel as my only option, it would not accept the value change.

Thanks for the update, love the new control tab.

I will give you an update with any problems, but I have had no beta problems.

Suggestions / History Export

Corey, I really like the History button from the Game Tab... is there anyway we could have an export option on this info? Or maybe incorporating it with the Action Summary on the Summary Tab.

Thanks

Templates, Layouts and Sounds / Re: H.O.R.S.E. Tournament
« on: January 18, 2008, 06:05:15 PM »
The Ante is always the ante... the small blind and big blind serve as the bring in and completion for the stud games and Limit 1 & 2 for the small and big bets.

I display the Round, Game, Ante, Blinds & Stakes in a column in the center. I don't label anything except the Ante on the screen... folks know what is what.

If this was a cash game all the levels would be of equal length... but I have found that as the players dwindle in a free-roll the shorter rounds work ok. Everyone around these parts prefers a leisurely start, so I like the compromise.

When asking for a pony always ask for the saddle :)

Bottom line is I would love certainly the "Game" on this screen.. I agree about cluttering this area up.

I also posted my HORSE.trt in the templates area.

PS.. all posting done while running a tournament.. loving the beta.
