Title: deleting database..!!!!! HELP !!!!

I am installing the app on a laptop and inadvertently doubled up all the names in the database.  I have tried to delete the db file and then reinstall the app but it still comes up with the names doubled in the database.  Is there a registry setting file or some file I am missing?  I have tried doing the backup and all it does is show the doubled up files in the database.  Extremely frustrated.
