How to create a league?
« on: August 16, 2017, 07:34:22 PM »
I have a doubt with the Tournament Director that is the program that we use here in Ovalle.

How to create a league?

We have implemented a league which gives points for elimination positions of each client, according to their position is given a score:
Example: if the tournament has 40 participants and the client was eliminated in position 15, the way to calculate it is as follows: divide 40/15 = 2.66666 pts
To which we add points in addition to repurchases (2 pts) and add-on (1pto)
My question is if we can rank this in the Tournament Director with all the data he handles. Something like putting a formula to be able to do it and how to do it?

Use the "Points for Playing" field on the Game tab of the Settings window.  Use the formula:

buyins / rank

On the Players tab, the field "Points" will have the calculated value once the player busts out and has been assigned a rank.

Once you have one or more tournaments saved, you can run statistics on the Stats tab.  Just press the "Refresh Stats" button and select the Default profile.  The system will load each of your saved tournaments and compute statistics from them.

Pressing the Preferences button on either the Players or Stats tab will allow you to select columns to display (other stats).  Once you have finished a set number of tournaments (a "season"), you can create a new profile on the Stats tab to filter only the tournament you want to see.  An easy way to do this is to set the start and end dates on the filter.  This would allow you to select only tournaments played between certain dates.  This makes it simple to see statistics for "seasons" of tournaments.  This can also be done by creating seasons on the Database tab and assigning a season to each tournament (on the Game tab), and then filtering on actual seasons.
