screen sets and timings
« on: March 17, 2006, 07:10:28 PM »
I have a question regarding screen sets and their timing.

I'll try to keep this simple and use the default screen set.

Say i have setup the screenset to rotate between several screens, for example
screen one - 3 minutes
screen two  - 15 minutes
screen three - 5 minutes
screen four - 15 minutes.

Alright, let's say round 1 is 18 minutes, so far so good.  Next is a break which has it's own screen set, when we hit round 2 and return to the default screenset, does it go back to screen one or does it continue where it stopped in round one, in this case screen three.

Hope that makes sense.

When a screen set is chosen for display by the Tournament Director, it always starts the rotation of the screens within the screen set at the beginning.  That means, in your case, when the break is over, it will go back to screen one.  But that's also when *ever* a screen set is chosen.  So, if you leave the Tournament page to go to the Settings page and then return to the Tournament page, the TD picks the appropriate screen set to display and starts the rotation over.

You can always use the hotkeys to move through the rotation.  By default, Ctrl + the right and left arrow keys move forward and backward through the rotation.

Had no idea on the hotkeys to move within the screen set.  That's a great feature.  Thanks for clarifying this out.
