Title: Points based on award not amount?
Post by: Whiterhino on November 11, 2014, 10:52:52 AM
If a player wins for arguments sake a £100.00 first prize and the prize money forms part of the calculation for his or her points then the points are obviously affected by any rake. Is there any way to substitute the actual prize money variable in the equation than the net figure (represented by tw).

Usually prizes are calculated after rake is removed from the pot.  So the prize amount you see is the actual prize amount.

If you're trying to see how the prizes would have been calculated if no rake were taken, I think that's probably not possible from a formula perspective.
