Title: Can you use TD to run a progressive bounty tournament
Post by: whirlers on June 19, 2012, 05:37:30 AM
If i wanted to run a bounty game where you cash half the bounty and the other half goes back on your own head, is this possible to track with TD ??
I played a similar game recently and enjoyed it, was just wondering if i could emulate it with the help of TD to run my own.
Cheers

Not at present.  Sounds interesting, though.

This got me thinking ... how does it work, exactly?  When you bust out, you have to give your own bounty chip and half of the bounty chips you've collected to the hitman?

I've only played it online so it's all calculated for you but it works like this.

Say it's £20 buy in £10 in the pot & £10 on your head
If i take someone out with a £10 bounty i get £5 to cash and the other £5 goes on my head making me a £15 bounty. Then i bust someone who's accumulated a £25 bounty so i cash another £12.50 and my bounty rise's to £27.50.
This is obviously easy to workout online, it keeps track of your bounties cashed & your current bounty, then just pays what your gathered when or if you bust. If you win the tournament not only do you cash a % of the pot you cash your own accumulated bounty....if this makes sense.

If i start a tournament with TD and give everyone a £10 bounty, i would need some kind of option for a % to roll over to their bounty when busting a player. So as long as i have entered player A has been busted by player B TD will calculate that player B now has X amount.
