Title: Sort sounds
Post by: wbtczn on June 04, 2008, 07:01:19 PM
I've created subfolders in the sound folder for the different type of sounds.  It makes it a lot easier to marry the sound up with the correct event.  The problem I have is when I add new sounds, they all go to the end of the sound list.  I'd like to have all of my 'bustout' sounds together.  Here are the sound folders I have:

When I used to DJ I used to do the same thing with my music, catagorize the folders and dump group clumps in there... makes life so much easier... I like this suggestion

I have dozens of sounds too. These are matched to the type of tournament and dependant on the types of blinds and levels etc. As mentioned, when new ones are added they go to the bottom of the list making management difficult. Would be great if we could either sort these, or better still manually order them in case a plain sort isn't what's actually required.

Thanks

John

Where do you want to sort them? In TD you can sort them in the events tab, otherwise it's down to your operating system and where/how you store them

What about just pre-fixing the sound names so they are sorted more to your taste?  Like, for your bust-out sounds, rename them so that they all begin with "BO-", or something like that?

Corey, that would address which sounds I intended for which events, but doesn't help in the overall management of the sounds -- because when new sounds are added they are added to the end of the list.  I've got well over 100 sounds, and as I add more, they get more difficult to track.
